uh alabama was definatly one of the best teams in the country last year they hammered georgia, beat lsu, hammered auburn in the most lop-sided iron bowl in years, and hung with the national champion and was beating them for a lot of the game, i think bama just did not want to be playing for the sugar bowl, when the national championship is in sight, the sugar bowl seems so small
Wow, LSU and Auburn. a 7-5 regular season team and a 5-7 team. Those are some great wins there. And Georgia fell off they were no.1 preseason and were nowhere near that at the end. Alabama played 2 quality teams all year, Florida & Utah, and they lost both games.

I'm still wondering what Bama's offense will look like next year without Wilson, Smith, Walker, Coffee and Caldwell. They lose a lot of experience as well as their defensive leader Johnson.
i think mcelroy or star whoever starts at qb will be better than john parker, alabama will have a relatively young offense with young linemen, i could see alabama having a rebuilding year, but i could also see bama competing for another title
florida has great speed on the dline as well as depth and the linebackers are all 4.5-4.6 range plus the strong safety was a former corner so they have ballhwks with speed. not just tumpers.
