@shikishima I wish Animated wasn't canceled. I agree. It was awesome. I liked how they made the figures More durable,too. I was sick of the ones from the Michael Bay films. They broke apart too easy. Then again, I became a fan when the Cyberton Trilogy was around (Armada/Energon/Cybertron). (I'm thirteen so that was one of my first chances xD) I miss it... Thank God for DVDs lol

It was a filler because they (Japan) was working on the Transformers Armada (dunno it's Japanese name), so to pass the time, they threw out Car Robots to keep Transformers in people's mind.

Transformers RID is way better than the new one. transformers animated is so gay. the animation when they transform in animated is so gay but in RID it was so good. love each series except animated

Gotta disagree with you a bit on that one. While I do love RID a lot more than Animated, I still love Animated, simply because it's still Transformers.

I just hope we'll get another Japanese made series over here sometime. Hopefully one not as failtastic as Cybertron and NOT filled with computer animated Transformers that look like shit.

I believe the original cartoon was made in the US, though you are right in saying Transformers is from Japan. The toyline was derived from the Diaclone and Microman series in Japan, I think?

Depends on how you look at it. Rights to poorly-selling toys from Japan were bought by the company, who then had the story made around them. Marvel Comics created all of the G1 characters as you know them, before even the cartoon. Diaclone, Microman, etc. are from Japan, but they're just the raw material. *Transformers* is from Marvel, originally. Of course, we wouldn't have it without the raw material, so give 'em props.

so it kinda was both. the older toys were japanes in origin but later 1's like the protectobots (i could be wrong here) and most other combiners (devastater no) and all after the movie were originalk molds (magnus was a powered up version for pre TF Prime/whats the reason for the cab part) however the G1 series film and 3 seasons was an american idea (japan animated it though/toei did the film/they also did digimon/dbz/one peice and sailor moon). this is all true scour the net to check it out.

Write RHINO and tell them to release Transformers R.I.D. in a box set. It was only 1 season so it would be quick and easy for them to release.  Write them at drrhino at rhino (dot) com . I have all of those. I just want R.I.D. it was so different from all the other TF lines. It was admittedly over the top and silly and seemed to WANT to make light of itself. I could sit and enjoy it in the same way I could sit and enjoy Killer Klowns From Outerspace. Other TF shows with humor are just stupid, because they try to be serious and you can't mix "Stupid" with "Serious." R.I.D. was just all flat out crazy and goofy. So it was the one silly TF that was cool.
