  • Watch WHAT YOU INGEST into your body because all DIS-EASES come from that.!!!!

  • Watch WHAT YOU INGEST into your body because all DIS-EASE come from that.!!

  • dang, u can only drink 500 ml of water a day? how do you exercise and stuff you would need to drink water from losing it through sweat

  • @jackster1990 Water and fluids are dangerous when on Dialysis because the fluid is a giant stress on your heart. Normal kidneys filter your fluids out easily, where-as if you're on Dialysis, you don't filter fluids.

  • my dads dad was on dialysis. For all you kids out there dont do drugs

  • @MrUsername1191 Does that even make sense? Those two sentences?

  • I'm so glad someone actually made a video about how dialysis isn't the end of the world. Everything else seems to be about how terrible it is, and how much they struggle.

My mom just started dialysis a week ago or so, and yes, she's been exhausted getting used to it, but she's the same old mom that I've always known. She just needs a little bit of help. Hopefully she can qualify for a kidney transplant.

  • this is a great thing for those that need it.

  • QUESTION: HOW LONG A PERSON CAN LAST WITH A KIDNEY DECEASE STAGE 1 or 2 CAN MOVE TO THE NEXT STAGE? THIS PERSON IS NOT DIABETIC AND IT WILL TAKE CARE OF HIMSELF AS FAR AS EATING HEALTY (LOW PROTEIN INTAKE, LOW SODIUM AND KEEP HIS BP LOW WITH ACE INHIBITOR)....ANY IDEA HOW LONG THIS PERSON LAST BEFORE MOVING TO THE NEXT STAGE.....

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE. ANY CASES

  • @capsula2007 1. All caps? Annoying.

    2. You don't want to move to the next stage >_<

    3. Stage 1-2? You're considering Dialysis? Buddy, I'm End-stage (5).

  • This is a NHS video and the woman in it has obviously been studying her lines really well , painting the picture like this is ok but it hides everything about the other side of dialysis , the monotany of having to go through this 3x a week till a suitable transplant organ is acquired , ( in my case 11 yrs and counting ) the restricted fluid intake , the diet the low immunity system that leaves you prone to the slightest cold etc etc need i go on

  • @Vyper1712 I totally agree, there is nothing about the monotany. She makes it sound like a piece of cake. The problem of going on holiday is not presented properly either. She is right about it being a social club though. I'm sorry to hear you have been waiting for 11 years. I did dialysis until June this year. Hope you get one soon.

  • Im happy you feel ok on it lol, i feel like crap, i used to have the neck line but now i have the needles in the fistula on my left upper arm, my main things i hate is the sickness, tiredness, dizzyness, and basicly feeling rough lol, Anyway GOOD LUCK TO YOU FRANCESCA

  • @AdrianDarby I was just wondering, do people with kidney disease sometimes experience being easily startled? I know an odd question, but I was just wondering.

  • @NamekianPikkoro7 no. but it's not uncommon for people to take a good nap on the machine. it's boring and the machine hums, so to speak, so you can nod off =)

  • my grandad almost died from kidnet failure. now after being in manchester royal infermary for 4 months he is out back in the nursing home, but he had to go back in bcoz he got an infection in 1 of the tubes. but hes not had dialysis for over a week bcoz his kidneys have improved massively. so he may not need it as much, bcoz, like francesca here, he had 2 have it 3 times a week, and have to get up at 6 in the morning to travel from macclesfield to manchester (about 20 miles or so)

  • keep on fighting Francesca

  • God Bless You Francesca

  • @nycrtst33 Well he obviously missed blessing her in the first place.

  • get going mama,,,,, god bless u

  • Hello Mrs. Crozier my name is Sharice B. From myrtle beach sc i enjoy ur video iam on dialysis this is my second time my frist was at the age of 14 but had a transplant in June 2002 it fail after 6years so now iam 23 an iam still on dialyais working on getting another transplant. but being on dialysis is no different from my regular life i still do the same things that i always like to do.

  • What an amazing Lady, I'm a student nurse about to go on a Dialysis placement and I'm really looking forward to it. ^_^

  • Well said? I hope you find a doner sooner then later? good luck with everything.

    Great video

  • My father is getting Dialysis in the next day, he will be in the hospital for three days. Me and my mother are taking it hard right now, even as I type this... I'm crying.

I can't help it, I'm afraid for my father, he's only 59 and I 18, I'm scared I'll lose my father...I don't want him to die, I pray to jesus in heaven to take my life in his stead.

I don't want to see him in pain from dialysis, I pray to god he'll take it well.

i would lay my life for him, without question...I'll die for him

  • My Dad died in October 2008 from ESRD. He was on hemo and then switched to peritoneal dialysis. He was 59 when he passed away. He fought for almost 4 years, but was only on dialysis 2 years. Dialysis of either kind is horrible on the patient. It's NOT what videos like this say it will be. Keep praying for God's Will for your Dad. It's hard to do when you know God might take him Home but if God wants to heal your Dad that is part of His Will also. This is going to be very hard for you ALL.

  • dont worry my he be fine you and your mom need to stay strong for him he need your support it harder for him hewill feel better and it be hard to adjust but you get throught it my mom is 56 yrsold and she 3 week on dialysis and i see ibig differnt keep your faith god blesss

  • He will be ok I'm a dialysis tech and if he does his best to control his fluids and is mindfull of his diet,he will be fine. Please don't fall for all the horror stories.

  • I know some people have had bad experiences and people do die. However I am a dialysis patient and I still work full time, and go to the gym three times a week. Mind you I am only 31 and I will not give up my life for anything. It's up to your dad because being on dialysis and facing that can be very depressing and that is what really hurts dialysis patients not the physical problems but the depresssion in dealing with dialysis. Just be there for him.

  • dialysis is a walk in the park for most people. not associated with much pain it's more of an administrative chore in that you have to schedule it into your lifestyle 3x/wk.

and you don't die from dialysis, you die from all the reasons that put you on the miracle machine. namely, gross vascular disease including cardiac. control your sugars and your blood pressure to optimize your cardiac status and keep your immune system at it's best and you'll up your odds.

  • Look how well this lady is doing in this video above. Dialysis is a great thing and saves lifes too. Your dad will be in safe hands.

well it's been a month now, how is he doing. God bless and good luck with everything.

  • @iheartlovebleach I think you need to be a brave girl when any father sees a smile on his girls face half the problem disappears be postive and the god is there for all of us.

  • Thankyou so much for providing such a positive attitude with ref to dialysis. Its great to hear that you can travel and that you are not resticted in your daily life.

  • after watching this i'm so much more aware and less afriad. my dads getting this done in the next couple of days! the thing is i just hope hr takes his medication. he didn't take his tablets and this brought it on. if he did, this wouldn't of happened for another 10-15 years =(

  • After 4 months after i left a comment here,

sad to say but my dad passed away last april 3

    =(

everything she said in this video is true..

    *sighs

Life is too short but it doesnt mean to take advantage of your life while you still breathing.

  • whenever i get dialyzed my vision starts to fade and i collapse

  • It sounds as if you blood pressure is dropping too low, you may be drinking too much and having to take off too much fluid during dialysis or your dry weight is incorrect. Speak to your doctor it shouldn't be happening.

  • i'm a 21 yr old dialysis patient with ESRD. I have a 6 month old daughter and im very thankful to have something to actually keep me alive until i get a transplant.

  • Are you on haemo or PD? I'm 22 and have been on PD over a year now. It's a pain in the arse but no way could I deal with haemo, I'm so so glad I'm on PD instead. How long is your list do you know?

  • My Brother who is 14 is doing this. He was only diagnosed about 4 months ago but he gets his dialysis at home and has it every night. The toughest thing for him is the limited fluid intake as well.

  • Im a ESRF patient been on dialysis for a total of 18 years i am now 32yo. Had transplant which lasted 2 years. The worst things is being so young i have used all possible accesses now been both arms and legs for fistulas my body won't take the Vascaths or Central lines anymore so when my peritoneal catheter fails its goodnight jan no moire life for me with two children under the age of 6 i feel very scared.

  • please pray.....that divine power can only help......you wont believe 15 years ago I started treatment for infertility, doctors diagnosed grade 4 endometrioses....and told my husband that I could only live for a max of two years......and that too will be bed ridden......last month I again went to a doctor,as I still have no children......they told me there is not even a trace of endometriosis........you know that power which give us some disease....has the power to take it back also...

  • I've worked in dialysis for over 20 yearsand you can count on one hand the people that have got their renal fuction back...and they where told by their DR's it would happen...Please don't use the DIVINE POWER stuff on them..

  • @tipupdave sometimes divine intervention can be useful, miracles do happen even if they have negative impacts.

  • Great video just learning some more on haemodialysis since my mum just started this week. No fistula she currently has the catheter in her neck but did her first session yesterday. Shes been a renal patient for over 20 years and her 10 year old transplant has now failed. Previously she did CAPD at home but shes due for surgery to remove her own kidney next month so they advised her to go for haemodialysis for now due to scar tissue from the peritoneal dialysis and previous surgery.

  • i dont know if im going to be happy because hes undergoing dialysis and have a better health afterwards or im going to be scared if he can get use to it. :(

  • my dad is undergoing dialysis now for the first time, hes 85 of age, after watching this video im about to cry now.. he rushed to the hospital this last sunday and i havent seen him yet because im scared of what my dads situation, my dad rushed to the hospital several times already, because of the kidney issues. he cant walk anymore since 2004.

  • She says that she has to stick to a fluid resctiction of 500ml anmd she os taking of 1990ml so she would be almost 1.5 litres over but fluid is so ghard to control i struggle even knowing the dangers but i can follow my renal diet very well. Bin on dialysis for a year and 3 mpnths and i hate every minute of it but see the point of it

  • I lost my kidney at 19, went on dialysis for two years, received a transplant, transplant medicine ate away at my hips so I got new ones, lost my kidney after 8 years, back on dialysis for the past eight years.

  • great story.

  • i am getting my fistula catheter on my left arm tomorrow on the 14th. Then i will turning 26 years old on aug 17th which is this sunday and a week after i will start my dialysis treatment. I got Chronic Kidney Disease which is the last stage of renal failure

  • Actually staraction, Chronic Kidney Disease isn't just the final stage. ESRD is.

I was on dialysis for 6 1/2 yrs (both PD and Hemo) and finally got a kidney transplant in 2007. Happy belated birthday by the way.

  • how do you feel now......I want to know because my sister , who is younger than me is a kidney patient......she has not yet started dialysis...thankgod......but to see her each day facing the risks is terrfying...doctors say be prepared for the transplant......but we have heard even after transplant you have to go through checkups and all that.....how you feel after two years....

  • I'm a dialysis patient if there is any advice i give you then please ask or send me a message.

    joe

  • Keep going... thanks for this..
