no, u need the side stories to understand kh3

trust me, u wont understand a thing without them. for example you need to know how master xenhort comes back and why the mark of mastery begins again. i do after playing all the side stories.

@MinnMaigi To make the story larger and to introduce the whole possibility of the multiplayer mode, I know it's kind of bad, but Re.Coded is a DS game, so its hard to make such a big game without sacrifying some things

But don't worry, big scenes will be made in cool graphics, so it's not a complete loss :)

Actually they used Sanctuary/Passion for 358/2 Days.

I would say they're saving a new song for KH3 by tradition. Using a new one on a side game doesn't feel that right, I'd say. Costs more money too.

They might also have a problem since apparently Disney is asking too much of Utada Hikaru and she doesn't wanna do any more songs for them. Tetsuya Nomura said she was the only one suited for KH. ;_;

So for me, nah, I'm fine with the same songs being used. 8)

None of the game's they've released recently are of the primary series line, so they've been sticking to Sanctuary and Hikari. They've been using Hikari more because most of the games they've been releasing have more to do with the first Kingdom Hearts than with the second (an exception being 358/2 Days, which, to prove a point, used Sanctuary instead of Hikari). I'd expect a new song to arrive with kh3.
