If a Lanc came over my house at 50 ft. I would'nt be happy. I would want to know why they were'nt at 20.

Actually, they needed to fly low so that the Bouncing Bomb would act as a skipping stone. A very shallow angle of fire is needed for it to work

@TakeBackTheWorld if u released the bomb below about 80 ft it would bounce back up and take ure tail off.

@buidseach It is historical record that they were flying at 60ft. If they were any lower than that you are quite right it would bounce back into the plane. There is some footage of that happening in a few of the documentaries that have been made about this.
