The claw thing is for like if you have really curly hair pr you have curls and you dont want to ruin the curls you use that instead of a comb or brush to fix your curls. :)

that is a teasing comb! say you teased your hair with the comb before u did your up-do and you flattened your tease a bit you use those little pointy things to lift the tease back up! i have seen emilynoel83 here on YouTube use kind of the same type of technique before!

And also like gpbandchick2010 mentioned before, it is also really good for taming ur hair after you have teased it, I also use the prongs for this purpose. That way your tease doesn't go totally flat compared to when you use a brush to smooth it out. The prong side of the brush has a lot to do with teasing because usually people use the "brush" side to tease their hair :)

I have that exact same brush that your mom bought you. There are a few things I use those prongs for. I use it for when I need to precisely part my hair, the scary prong side is really really good for this. As well, it's good for when, after you tease your hair and all that, to push it underneath your hair to lift up the tease even more (instead of using ur fingers). Hope that makes sense!

the "claw" is used to tame ur hair when it has been teased. well thats what ive seen it used for . like when u tease ur hair and u wanna kind of smooth it without making it flat. . hope that helps

its a teasing comb. Well, atleast thats what i use it for. The comb end has thoes little things in it so it teases easier. &' the other end with the long things are for combing out the tease &' like pushing it uhp with a little volume.
