  • wat is the 880gm-ud2h built in video card? plz reply :)

  • @bonkscout ATI Radeon HD 4250

  • @Johnnysshop thanks! :D

  • I have that same RAM :D

  • @JOshj5hawk I had some issues with my first batch :(

  • @Johnnysshop Awe thats sucky. Did Micro Center help you out? They've always been the greatest for me when either the part is bad, or I buy the wrong one lol

  • @JOshj5hawk Yeah, they just gave me new sticks. Those were bad too! They went in back and pulled some from a different batch. All was good. LOL on the wrong parts!

  • Would it be better, if your motherboard only supports 2 memory channels(dual-channel) to use 2x4GB=8GB OR 4x2GB=8GB?

    Thanks.

  • @AnArousedPanda If you ask 100 different people you'll get 100 different answers. I would go with 2 4GB stick so you have room to upgrade later.

  • LOL 2gb..flash drive-in-a-box? jkjk

  • hi i buy a

    intel core i7 2600

    8gb 1600 adata ram

    msi p67a-gd65 Mother Board

carsair 600 wat is enough for gaming

  • @MsMazor I'd go a little bigger. Get the largest one you can afford.

  • can you put a AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition Six-core Processor - 3.20 GHz

    on that Motherboard

  • @KARCHER97 Yeah, as far as I know.

  • Hey mate ive got all the parts i need . i have the same motherboard as you but im not sure what powersupply to get. i need a fairly cheap one. could u recommend me a psu mate please. many thanks

  • @DJSHAUNYB82 If you're not using it to really game much you could get something like what I was using. It's an Antec Green model. You can find them for $24 on eBay

  • I'm building a gaming rig, total price is little over $1,600. Using NZXT Phantom full tower case :D

  • @dpate Very nice!

  • @Johnnysshop Thanks! Here is everything that will be going into it: Asus Sabertooth X58, Intel core i7-960 3.2GHz, Corsair Dominator 6GB CL8 1600MHz, Noctua NH-D14(CPU Heatsink), Corsair 850W PSU, Asus GTX 570 GPU, 2x WD 1TB HDD 7200rpm 32mb, and a Asus blu-ray burner, and windows 7 premium. I wont worry about mentioning keyboard and mouse, but i nicknamed this build the BEAST!.

  • @dpate LOL... A Beast for sure!

  • sorry if you answered this already, but where did you purchase most of your components?

  • @OPureGHOST MicroCenter.

  • can you post the prices of each item?

  • @kurogane2x Shoot, I don't remember them now.. Guessing

    Mobo and processor $240

    Ram $140

    Case $24

    Vid card $50

    Power supply (already had it)

    Hdd $89

  • 00:7 - You've typed "Intel Phenom II x6 1055T" instead of "AMD PHENOM X6 1055T"

    ^^

  • @iLoveAfterFx Yeah, I know. There should be a little box that pops up and states the error on the video.

  • my motherboard and cpu where 350pounds :/

  • Hi, what hardware would you suggest for a workstation primarily for 3d visualization (mainly architectural - 3ds max, vray, podium, etc)

  • @ericvoo Honest answer? A Mac... But if I were building a PC with 3d in mind, I would go with the AMD 1090T Black edition or an Intel I7 and the biggest graphics card you can afford.

  • @Johnnysshop is a Mac really for 3d? I still thought that apple is a overrated/overpriced brand, like LV in computing.

  • @ericvoo Everyone seems to thinks so.. I'm not a Mac guy but they are smooth...

  • was gunna ask when i started seein these vids pop up why you went with the HD 5450, but then you mentioned you got it for 67$ lol. im actually in the market to upgrade soon, but cost wise nothing is beneficial except my vid card. running nvidia 9800GTX+, and a intel Q6600 overclocked to 3.4ghz. thinkin of upgrading to nvidia GTX 460.

  • @Munky332 Yeah, for the price I couldn't beat it. It also had a $10 mail in rebate so for $57 it really sounded good. I don't game at all so I really didn't even need a video card. GTX 460 is a very nice card..

  • OK,

Opinions: For hd 1080 consumer/non-commercial video editing; 8gigs 1333 vs. 4 gigs 1600 DDR3??? I suppose the answer depends on how much crap you have open at once? Any hardcore Yes's or No's or does it just depend?

  • @sham8723 It really depends but I went with the 8GB of 1333 and so far no issues at all using Sony Vegas, Adobe Premiere or any of those. Hardcore, I would probably go with 8gb of 1600 :). I like to stay with as much memory regardless of speed for editing because it's such a memory hog. A lot of the time I'm uploading and editing at the same time so stability is more important than speed to me.

  • @sham8723 the mild increase you'll get from 1333 vs 1600 isnt worth it, quantity will likely be better. i dont know how much memory is actually done with video editing, but with more memory you could at the very least create a ramdisk (uses extra ram space like a hard drive and its fast as hell compared to a standard HDD).

  • Haha..!! how to install "OS" if only 2gig HDD spae...Huhu...

  • I wont lie, i laughed when you said 2 gb hard drive lol

  • @2PwnNewbs :) Kickin' old school....

  • lol do u know how close u are to building my comp lol u just have a better prosseser and more ram and kinda different mother bored but cant wait to see how this terns out

  • @crazycalz21 Cool, one thing I would change it the memory..... Not more of it just a different mfg... I've been using it for 2 weeks now. I have an update vid but won't post it till the series is uploaded.

  • 8 gigs of ram??? damn duu! dats dope! lol so is it cheaper then buying a put-together computer of the same specs? because i could probably build it in an hour or so! very very tempting....

  • what monitor is that?

  • @YoungJDogg Viewsonic VA2431

  • maybe now i can learn how to put a computer together =]

  • @JZ436 It's easy :)

  • Your parts description says Intel Phenom X6 1055T processor though you went with Phenom II, you may want to correct. The OS wasn't listed in the build nor in cost. I know OEM states in the terms one install only for the oriinal installed machine and MSDN is for testing and eval, what was your work around on that as well as which version were you going to go with? Still love the vids, like the Duplicolor paint test eval... good stuff and keep them coming...

  • @atomichund Ahh crap! I never noticed that and I put that on all of them! I must have had intel on the brain! I'm using Windows 7 Pro, I purchased it long ago for my laptop that came with Vista. I wiped to laptop and took it back down to Vista. If the Laptop came with the OS I would not have been able to do so. Well I would have, just not legally.

  • i love bilding computers that is one of my hobbys i bult my mom one about 3 or 4 months ago it is pritty nice whare do you get your parts??? and how much was the ram??

  • @ils360 MicroCenter (local store). Ram was $160, plus $40 mail-in rebate.

  • Wow, I had to do a quadruple check on that. I heard a 2 GIG hard drive. @1:23 .. I had to rewind and check to ensure it was actually TB rather than GB. I suddenly thought I was seeing a HD from 1996 when I heard 2 gig. I feel the pain, slip-ups happen. It's right in the description, and (hopefully) that's what counts. Keep making the awesome videos, buddy! I love each and every one!

  • @s10manual LOL... Yeah, not sure what the heck I was thinking.. It's hard to believe that 2GB drives were actually a big think back then. Thanks for watching the vids..

  • Pretty sweet man, I esspecially love watching ur video's cuz I love computers n' know quite a lot about them etc, and the same with dirt bikes! =)

(The only thing I would change about that rig is, id put at least a 600w PSU in there)

  • @OLLY605 Thanks, I appreciate viewers like yourself! Yeah, actually I'm going to end up doing that. The 430W was something I had already had so I figured I'd try it first. This vids were made 2 weeks ago to the day so I've changed a thing or 2....
