  • I agree Sharon's clothes should have not been worn by anyone because no one can compare to Sharon who was the most gorgeous girl In her time may god have her In his glory «3

  • @DazzlingValerie I agree with you. It was disrespectful and tacky of her sister to allow this.

  • That's a gorgeous wedding dress!

  • No offense but this is kind of tacky.

  • I agree with other posters here who think it was inappropriate to have models wearing these clothes.

  • I love the dress at 1:22, the fur coat, and the one at 2:47. Sharon's eyes were so beautiful.

  • That model is ugly compared to Sharon, it is annoying that she got to wear the clothes, it is obvious it had no real meaning to her grr

  • No disrespect but her sister needs to move on and stop using Sharon as an excuse to be on TV.

  • This is bad taste. Sharon Tate was the most beautiful woman of her time and her clothes should not be worn by anyone.

  • I think it's really cool that they showed off some of the clothes... but I think it's rather distasteful to have some little model run around in them.

  • @KeybladePrincess95 I agree. They could have easily displayed them on mannequins.

  • @KeybladePrincess95 dislike it either.

  • They should have just donated the clothes to Goodwill.

  • i wonder if that model knows how Lucky she is to wear Sharon's beautiful clothing. i adore Sharon's clothing and i love her whole style. i collect vintage 1960's dresses and clothing and Sharon's dresses were gorgeous! what a horrible night Aug. 8 must have been. RIP beautiful Sharon.

  • RIP Sharon.

  • Your right the womens pretty but she doesn't even resemble Sharon Tate.

  • nobody looks like she did

  • Cant watch any more of these clips with her in. Just heart breaking every time.

  • How dare that women wear Sharon Tates clothes.

  • the model is pretty..but NOT EVEN CLOSE yanno?

  • @davehutchinson67 Yeah, she's pretty in a typical California girl way, but Sharon was out of this world beautiful. She also had something a little foreign to her looks, which was especially visible without makeup.

  • Roman Polanski was not in France when Sharon was murdered, he was in London...

  • While I do question Debra's motives about a lot of things, she's not the first relative of a deceased celebrity to sell items and clothing belonging to them. The children of Lana Turner and Glenn Ford frequently sell items that belonged to their parents on Ebay, to share something with their fans. But who knows about what Debra's motivations have been.

  • @Muirmaiden Debra's not selling Sharon's clothes, she's just displaying them. I don't think anyone would really be complaining if she had exhibited them in a museum rather than putting them on a model for a photoshoot, but I actually find this to be a better way to envision how Sharon would have looked in them.

  • It is touching to see these clothes.

Sharon was stunning and her choice of clothes was breathtaking.

It must break her sister's heart every time she sees this and other belongings of Sharon.

Life is precious and we all know that the time we have is short.

    Make every moment count.

    Sharon did.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • She could of still be here,Her death could of be prevented in more

way's then one,At least 5 people died that day and all 5 was not that

fair away from each other,It's bullshit because what happen was not

just wrong it was evil,Not only did you kill 5 people you truly killed 6

(unborn child)thats messed up,Her death and the others could have

been prevented one guy died in the drive way,2 on the grass and 2 in

the house last time i checked i can't imagine getting killed thats evil.

  • I don't understand what is with the blue on the wedding dress. I've seen photos of Sharon in the dress, and that wasn't there. Did her sister , for some odd reason, add the blue to the wedding dress after Sharon died ? I swear, this is odd.

  • people keep judging debra for showing these clothes as if she's just wanting attention. well, why would she have kept them hidden for 40 years then if she wanted attention. besides, these are her murdered sisters clothes. Not our murdered sister's clothes.

  • Sharon`s classic 60`s clothing could possibly have been put on exhibit somewhere appropriate on mannequins, instead is this tasteless and exploitative display...very sad

  • thks 4 the post...the 60s fashion will never die until now...sharon tate was going 2 bcum the next marilyn monroe in my books b4 she was killed...so RIP 2 both of them n similarly both dead after suffering turmoil relationships

  • the first pale pink one is so pretty and the colorful one that debra shows

  • Sharon's clothes have been tainted now, they have lost Sharon's sent. Debra thank you for sharing another story about your sister, but to have another women wear her cloths was wrong,

  • For respect for her sis, she should have just kept them in a hope chest..and let them rest.

  • I bet the pay cheque from flogging her sisters clothing also put a big warm smile on her face.

  • i love sharon tate, but it seems to me that her sister is so trying to get the spotlight here

  • @artemiscarrington i didn't evan realized she had a sister until i read a couple of biographys

  • @spritgirl11 She had two sisters and one of them was supposed to have been invited to the Tate house the night of the murders but she changed her mind about going.

  • @FunWithStuttering yeah i heard that one of them was supposed to be there. But i thought that tate didn't want them to come because they didn't get home until 11:00 at night and thought it was to late.

  • @FunWithStuttering it was debra who was going that night, along with some other friends, shame they didnt go maybe they would have been able to fight back.

  • there is NO WAY IN HELL I would let anyone wear those clothes if I were her, these should have been put up into a museum. no matter how desperate for cash I was, I would have never even thought about selling any of it.

  • i think it's ok that debra showed us sharon's clothes and what state they are in because it was interesting to watch what happened with them and stuff but i'm not okay with her putting those dresses on some random woman and selling them. i don't think it's right. she should have just lock them again and just cherish what she has left of her sister.

  • This is a bit creepy.

  • i agree, its not only morbid, creepy and sad, its in very bad taste@MrRedFredSaid

  • @peacemonger1967 Would it be morbid or creepy if Sharon had died of natural causes and therefore was not associated with her death? I think this is being judged heavily through the lens of Sharon's murder and that simply isn't fair. Sharon's sister has no choice in the matter of how or why Sharon is known.

  • I have no problem with the trunk being opened and the clothes displayed - I think it's pretty tasteless to throw them on some vapid model for a meaningless photoshoot. Those clothes have a great deal of significance and sentiment attached to them, and watching some emaciated chick giggle in them ruins their mystery and tragedy. Bleh!!!!

  • @nightviolet ---that annoyed me too when I saw it on Inside Edition the first time!!! No one should wear them!

  • The wedding dress is described as "off white" but in this video it looks yellow. Must have turned yellow from age.

  • @FunWithStuttering I have a couple of high quality colour photos from the wedding and even despite bright lighting it is clear that the dress looks more than "off white" and looks pretty similar to how it's shown here.

  • @FunWithStuttering what happens is the body oils and perspiration that is transferred onto the dress through wear and handling oxidises and discolours the material. To prevent that the dress would have to be cleaned after wearing it and wrapped in non acidic tissue paper and put in a box.

  • Debra Tate is doing a great thing in taking up the torch from her sister and mother in keeping her sister's memory alive, and maintaining justice for her sister's murder.

  • i wish i had 60 ties clothes like that

  • The unveiling of these dresses was a major mistake. Debra Tate should have known better.

I watched the segment when it first aired and I was disgusted by it. I also hated myself for some time afterward because I felt like an idiot watching a sensationalistic piece of garbage.

  • interesting, why do you feel that way?

  • I simply feel that the trunk and its contents were part of Sharon Tate's private world. Debra Tate made a major error opening Sharon's trunk for a public viewing. It is in bad taste.

  • Happy Birthday Sharon!!! we miss you

  • Comment removed

  • "ive never unwrapped this for anyone" says Debra

Yeh right.....we DONT really believe you Debs!!

  • @FunWithStuttering

you obviously never had your loved pregnant sister brutally murdered at age 26, love

forget the past? do you think it's easy love?

  • @FunWithStuttering i dont think she can totally let go of the past or her sister nor should she , but i do feel she is using sharons name to make a name for herself..thats what is really sad,,..perhaps she should mourn privately and with class..

  • @FunWithStuttering That's a really rude thing to say, how exactly does one "get over" there sisters brutal murder?

  • @weaselsuit What a nitwit!

  • I wish I had one. Her dresses never gets old. And Sharon Tate was THE WOMAN :-)

  • If I were a rich man,

Ya ha deedle deedle, bubba bubba deedle deedle dum....

i would by all of this clothes...maybe i`m near her?.....

    i love u sharon

  • I don't blame her for selling them. Why keep 40 year old clothes, let someone else enjoy them. People make such stupid comments on here. Clothes can't replace a person or memories. Jesus, I can't believe the ridiculous remarks on here. I have nothing left of my mother's things, just the memories in my head which is all anyone has left. Things come and go.

  • What isn't mentioned though is this was basically an advert to put these clothes to auction. These clothes were actually sold soon after, that's why they were photographed in the first place.

  • Really? Debra Tate must be hard up for money to sell such cherished items.

  • @FunWithStuttering It isn't like she can fit into them though

  • Where did you find that out?

  • @bexcpfc wtf? why would she sell them? y would she let other people put them on??? they should be in some memorial to Sharon or something D= like the ones they have for lucille ball with some of her possessions and shit wtf debra? >=I

  • @bexcpfc Really? How did you find that out?

  • @bexcpfc If she really cared for her sister she would donate them to a museum not flog them to the highest bidder for what is blood money. There also comes a time when you have to let go of the past and move on with life. When someone you love dies you owe it to them to carry on living and make the most of every day you have.

  • @bexcpfc they cant have meant that much to her then...sad..

  • It always amazes me how a bunch of total strangers, start arguing over pretty much no reason at all, like some of the fruitcakes here on this comment board. Wow!

  • That model is no where near as beautiful as Sharon, peace & prayers to her family. RIP Sharon and baby.

  • i'm french you arrogant asshole!! Let's keep going on this conversation in french, i'll see how beautiful is your french grammar and vocabulary!!!!

  • Well I guess that gives you the right to act like an immature jerk then. How dare I expect otherwise?

  • pink godess, are you that fucking stupid??? >> "all shows are done on the back of some one but is it exploitation?" ?????? YES YOU FUCKING IDIOT WHEN IT'S DONE ON THE BACK OF A DEAD PERSON THAT HAVE PROBLEMS TO DISAGREE WITH THE EXPLOITATION BECAUSE SHE IS DEAD!!!!!!

And it's not the sister that makes money, but the network, the tvshow and the commercials than sell fried chiken after the show!!!!!!

That's gross and you are dumb!!

  • Calm the hell down. So you're saying that every documentary, film, book, article, etc, that has EVER been published on a dead person/s was exploitation? Just to clarify, I'm under the assumption that you're using the word 'exploitation' in the context of "an act that exploits or victimizes someone unfairly" and not "the act of using something for any purpose", because arguing that something is wrong by the latter definition would be asinine.

  • "That's gross and you are dumb!! "

Says the person who's grasp of grammar is suspect at best and obviously hasn't read the original post properly as this comment entirely proves the point Pink Goddess was making!

...and seriously, is there any need to resort to obscenities to try and force your point accross? Really such things are the bastion of those with a limited vocabulary and an inability to articulately defend their position, and I am sure you are better than that.

  • I'm not going to argue that Debra isn't desperate for attention, because her habit of creating a different story for every interview says otherwise, but I do think she has concern for the memory of her sister as well, and keeping Sharon's memory alive in positive ways is wonderful, whatever her motives may be.

  • pink godess that is the show done on the back of the victim and the sister that is gross!!!! The sister is free to do what ever she wants but why in front of camera? "she's gonna cry!! She's gonna cry!! CLOSE UP!! CLOSE UP!!!!" FUCK those shows that exploit pain and drama in order to make money!!!! Open your eyes!!!

  • All shows are done "on the backs" of people, does that always equal to exploitation? It's done in front of a camera because that's the only way to show the public another side of Sharon. Debra realises that her sister has a fan base and I'm very much glad that she's making an effort to expand its knowledge. Making money from this is inevitable, but if that was Debra's primary aim there are much easier and quicker ways of doing it, particularly now that all her immediate family is gone.

  • Marilyn was beautiful but of all the movie stars in the world the most beautiful woman by far is one of the first. Silent film actress Lillian Gish

  • Honestly I think Sharon Tate was much more beautiful then Monroe. But like Sharon once said "Beauty is all in the eye of the beholder"

  • I think people are more in awe of marilyn because of the whole mystery behind her. I think she was also very mainstream in her looks as opposed to sharon who looked more exotic. They were both equally beautiful in their own way!

  • that's disgusting!!!

"Oh let's talk fashion on the back of a murdered pregnant young women

    - Oh yeah!! Let's do that!! it's gonna be fun!!

-but don't forget the creapy dramatic music on the back... after all she's been murdered, let's respect that"

    Yark!!!! This is seek!!!!

  • cosmocats, why do you feel the need to reduce Sharon to merely a victim of murder? Her sister Debra knew her as many things, and a corpse was certainly not one of them. Just because the public is most exposed to the image of Sharon the victim does not mean Debra doesn't have the right to remember her in a positive light, and it's wonderful she's helping everyone else see her that way too. It's not fair that a half hour of Sharon's life that had nothing to do with who she was has defined her.

  • As long as its not the bloody clothes

  • They should have given the clothes to Charles.

  • I'd wear every single one of those pieces.

she was so beautiful, unlike the woman from today who need to have 20 pounds of makeup and face lifts ECT.

I wonder how the model felt when she was wearing sharons clothing, just that its been so long.

and the lace around the foot?

    amazing!!!

  • I think Sharon Tate had great style, very ahead of her time, her look and style was classic and timeless.. She has a beautiful aura about her. She is the most beautiful woman I have seen in hollywood

  • *way*

  • Patti sure looked like her sister

  • Aww she had such wonderful clothes. She was so amazing, its so tragic what happend. RIP.

  • i dont think that this is good, what they did with her clothes and the photoshoot

  • I'm starting to agree with you. When I first saw this video and uploaded it I thought it was great but now it seems Debra Tate is being a bit disrespectful to Sharon's memory by letting another woman wear them.

  • yes i think so too. but i'd propably let the video on here just as a ducument.

btw just had a look on your profile and videos. u seem to like ellen :-) so do i, she's great :-)

  • Rest in peace, Sharon.

  • Thank you Debra for sharing all this with Sharon's fans.

    You are a great sister!

  • Sharon was one of the most beautiful woman in the greatest decade in the whole history. She had a beautiful face, without make-up as well. And these clothes...the most beautiful ones I have ever seen. Sharon had a great style: those clothes perfectly passed to her beautiful face and great figure. She was a fashion icon even if she wasn't a well-known actress in the late 60s. She was even beautiful when she was pregnant, she was really thin in the 9th month too. Rest in peace beautiful Sharon.

  • She was not one of Hollywood's style icons. She was an actress to play bit parts, usually with very few lines, in small movies and TV shows. Until her murder, she wasn't very well known. And I'm sorry, the fur is disgusting. But other than that, she did have great style.

  • shut up you jealous bitch. My mother told me she was one of the most beautiful people in Hollywood. I saw Eye of the Devil on TV and she played a major role in that one.

  • What am I jealous of? She was extremely beautiful, and from what I have seen and read was a very kind, sweet, wonderful woman. Also, if you could read you would see the word "usually." :) I was simply pointing out that she became FAR more famous after her death than she ever was in life, though from all angles it looked like she was destined for stardom, she did not achieve that before being killed. Before August 1969, she was not very well known as an actress or a style icon. Overreact much?

  • I see that you are only 19 years old...I am 48, grew up in LA and can remember the summer of 1969, the shock...around 200 people attended her funeral...how can you say that she was not one of Hollywood's style icons?

  • *Facepalm*I really wish people would learn to read and figure out what words mean.

  • Alrighty. You're awfully mature, huh? Apparently knowing what fame is makes me a cunt? :) Good deal! <33

  • there are many things that make u a cunt

  • Good deal. Is knowing how to spell three letter words one of them?

  • Just like manson, whose music still sucks shit, but still is popular thanks to idiots like you. Sharon was very well known and respected she just wasnt overated, but very well known

  • Um, the fact that you're commenting this and know the story makes you an "idiot like me." Sharon Tate was on her way to becoming a huge star when she was murdered, but to say she was a huge star the day of her death is a blatant lie. It's an incredible denial of fact. You have every right to believe that lie and denial, but it is a lie and denial. Sharon Tate never reached her potential because of the Manson Family murders. Fact.

  • Sounds like you are giving manson kind of twisted form of credit. I didnt say she was huge star, I said she was well known. You act like you was living in the 60s or something, How is it fact, just because you say so?

  • Because anyone who knows anything at all about pop culture in the late '60s knows this. It really isn't a secret. At all.

  • Just because she didnt have marilyn monroes status. Doesnt mean she wasnt a pop icon before her death

  • I think she was way prettier than Marilyn. Not insulting Marilyn, but i never saw what was the big deal about her

  • I didnt say she was prettier, I just meant Marilyn Monroe was had more cult status. But Sharon was very beautiful and she was very well known, I dont care what that jexpel bitch says

  • Yeah I know, I was saying I dont understand why MM had bigger status.

  • Just because she had more movies, her career was a little further along before her death. I tell you if the Manson family would have tried pulling a knife like that on Bruce Lee , he would have beat them straight the fuck down

  • I agree Sharon is beautiful, she had her own style and look as did marilyn, as did Lynda Carter, and Farrah.. All of them are different but beautiful in their own way. No one today can compair with them, and they all were classy actting. Something that is rare today. Mattel made the Malibu Barbie after Sharon from "Don't Make Waves", Sharons look was a timeless CA beach girl. I think I would not like letting someone else wear the clothes either, I love the mini dresses!!

  • Marilyn was not a striking beauty, but neither were many legendary beauties. Marilyn's looks represent what we intrinsically find physically appealing - normality. Marilyn's features were rather ordinary, but perfectly symmetrical and proportionate, with not a flaw on her face. Beauty aside, Marilyn was incredibly ambitious and pushed many boundaries. Stable, 'normal' women like Sharon rarely become legends. MM herself said "Well behaved women rarely make history".

  • Oh. I think I already said this but she wasnt my cup of tea, but now I get wy she was other peoples cup of tea. Thanks !

  • You're welcome, Andro.

  • Much like kurt cobain, brandon lee. They already accomplished their achiements, their death just showed how universal their achiements were.

  • *Facepalm* 'Kay, this is pointless. You don't know what words mean. Goodbye.

  • Yea its a modern day of saying brickwall

  • I wouldnt let anyone ware sharons clothes, sharon was special, no one will ever be that beautiful angel, god bless sharon and Debra tate, i know you love your sister, i do too, may sharon rest with god.

  • wear* and agreed

  • I forgot the poor young brave man- Parent- there to show off his new clock-radio.

  • Never forget the Manson Family killings:

Tate, Hinman, Folger, Frykowski, Sebring, shorty Dean, Willett, Willett, Marina Habe, Darwin Scott, Doreen Gaul, Ronald Hughes, Karl Stubbs, Saladin Nader (very nearly) and of course Sharons 8 month old unborn child Atkins testified she wanted to cut out.,

May these Manson Family savages burn in prison

  • what a fabulous post; I wonder what Sharon and a her child would be doing today; I saw Manson's latest photo; the old demended evil wonder!

  • that model looks nothing-atall like sharon.

    i mean nothing...

  • I agree. They picked the wrong girl.

  • I agree wholleheardly, she DOSEN'T look anything like sharon nor does she hold a candle to her beauty wise.

  • There always has to be a "creep" like NBunch10 that must put someone down who is only acting as a "model". And nice enough to recreate Sharon's look. YUK

    Sickening human being.

  • I thought Roman was in London not France at the time of the murders?

  • He was in London. Guess they assumed that since he's resided in France since the 70s, that's where he must have been at the time of the murders. Wrong!

  • Classy, beautiful, fashionable, sweet and kindhearted. She certainly stood out and apart from the Hollywood crowd. Still remember my mom sobbing for days over that horrible murder. Never, ever will I understand how those monsters could just go out and torture and murder innocents. Will never understand a justice system that allowed those monsters to live. Let's hope they are all resting in peace in a good place!

  • Sharon Tate was hot. The model they used here is quite saucy as well.

  • Great tribute to a really fascinating, short career beauty.

  • i would kill 4 those clothes, so hott

  • they needed a better model.

  • Jay Sebring was in love with sharon until the last minute of his life...it is rumored that Sharon was thinking seriously about leaving Polanski.

  • lol, Jay Sebring was Sharon's ex, Sharon was about to give birth to Polanski's baby she was not still in love with Sebring at least not in any of the books I read. That's how rumours start though, have you thought about writing for the Enquirer?

  • Lol, i never thought about it, but you're right...she was not in love with sebring anymore, but a lot of her close friends had stated that she actually was thinking about leaving polanski once that the baby was born...i never said that she was gonna get back together with sebring...but he actually was still in love with her..."writing for the Enquirer"...that's a good one ;)

  • Well that seems to be the way with guys they can't let go, still I haven't read anywhere that she was thinking of leaving Polanski, I read that they were looking forward to the birth of their baby, were very much in love and Polanski was poleaxed by what happened (who wouldn't be). Nobody can begin to imagine what that guy went through, it's totally unfair to put a rumour out 40 years' later about her without knowing the reality of their situation and of course no relationship is perfect forever

  • Yes, I agree. Roman was horrible to her; cheating all the time and calling her a "fat pig" while she was pregnant. (The woman was only 130 lbs. at her 9th month!) I've heard that the night of the murders he was banging some stewardess he picked up at the London Playboy Club. I can't stand his pompous smirking face. Then he had the nerve to sell pictures of himself at the bloody crime scene to Life Magazine! That's the lowest of the low. Jay was a hero -- he died trying to save her.

  • I totally agree, and the fact he is still hiding from sleeping with an underage girl makes him seem even worse.

  • He called her a fat pig? Where did you read that?

  • In the biography by Greg King. Roman supposedly hated that she was pregnant and couldn't wait for her to get her pre-pregnancy figure back. He was apparently a very verbally-abusive little bastard to her.

  • I really want to find that bio. Thanks!

  • Sharon had the most beautiful sense of style, just like her. I have never seen a wedding dress as gorgeously untraditional but also sweet,so much like her. This woman was the epitome of class and stands out among everyone

who ever graced the likes of Hollywood.

  • I wonder if a lot of Sharon's things that Debra has might have been from her mother and sister.I'm sure they got some of Sharon's things from Roman, and when Doris died, the two sisters divided what Doris had and then when Patti died, Debra took it.Did you see the engagement ring of Sharon's that was on Ebay or somewhere for sale. Roman gave it to one of Sharon's friends and I can't remember the whole story, but it was being sold for over 20,000$, I believe. I wonder if anyone bought it?

  • I saw this on T.V. just yesterday -- thanks for posting! Ummm, the reason Roman kept something as innocuous as panties was because that was probably the only thing he really valued about her. By all accounts, it doesn't seem like he really respected her or cared that much, other than she was some kind of "trophy wife" for him. Jay was the one that cared.

  • I totally agree although I admire Polanski as a film maker. But NOT as a man, he was not a good husband, he cheated on her. As a man he is a typical chauvinistic casanova and unattractive on top of that! I believe Sharon adored him for his work and his mind. But she was young...and close to getting divorced after the birth! She should have been with Jay, he really cared, you are so right. He was THERE! It must have been terrible for her to see him die... So sad! Polanski was bad luck for her...

  • totally agree

  • I don't understand why Roman wouldn't want some of her things other than some panties he kept in his jacket pocket for a couple of years. Just sounded so cold when he said he got rid of all her things and people wanting her Rolls and other things. Seems very cold and ugly and demanding and sort of like, "GIMME, GIMME, GIMME".It seemed they didn't care she died, they wanted her stuff. It just seems so awful. When my husband dies, I'm not going to get rid of his stuff. The memories are too great.

  • the reason he didn't want any of it is because it was too painful for him. he was devasted that she died

  • He was cheating on her with someone in London. Personally, I think Polanski is a good film maker but a horrible person.

  • Why didn't Roman get the wedding dress?

  • They couldn't come up with a better looking model?

  • Correct me if I'm wrong, but according to Debra, she opens the trunk all the time and looks at her stuff, but the reporter said she hasn't opened it in almost 40 years. Which is it? Surely, she looks at it a lot, if her sister means that much to her. She ought to donate her things to a museum so her fans can see her clothes and the style she had.

  • The items are personal, I'm sure the last thing Debra wants is some museum making money off Sharon's possessions which mean so much to her.

  • This is wonderful. Thanks for posting it.

  • Oh when I saw that wedding dress I to was speechless I can't believe it. So very beautiful, dearest Sharon she really was/is the most beautiful woman in hollywood history.

  • Always wonder what happend to her clothes
