What do you think of participants at gay marches/pride parades who run about practically naked? Sometimes in DC my family is out enjoying the sights and sometimes we have to weave through the crowds during these sorts of events. It is very uncomfortable for me when my kids are with me - though they understand homosexuality, it is a scary experience for scantily-clad persons to approach them. Be proud of who you are, but doesnt that behavior alienate them from straight people?
My wife and I have taught our children to accept/tolerate others, which, for the most part, they do, but my 14-year old daughter practically BEGS us not to "walk in the lion's den," if it were, when she sees the more flamboyant people in thongs running amok.
by "pride" do you mean the parade day? what day is it in NYC?? Will you be meeting up with a group of youtubers?? I'm just coming out and not sure who to go with~!
sytycd. ugh! i love the contestants, but hate judges/producers. homophobic bigots. historically and already this season: a very skilled and flamboyant dancer, all the judges made comments that it was difficult to watch him because he wasn't acting "manly". one said she wants to dance with a man and it would be difficult to know what to do with him. they even admitted he was a good dancer. may have just come right out and said, "no, you're TOO GAY. you can BE gay like us, just don't ACT gay"
the way they can make amends to the glbt community would be to have some HOTT STEAMY same sex partner dances included regularly as part of the show. to start thinking and acting outside of the box
I really love SYTYCD...this season is going to be great with starting off with the top 10 from the onset. Love it! At our Tampa film festival, there is always someone out there with hate signs about God. I just ignore them.
Kentucky's Pride is the 18th and 19th this month!!!! The 18th is free and the 19th is only $5, so if ur nearby come celebrate w us!! Oh and btw, we don't usually have protesters at our pride!
By the Christopher Street Path Station its insanely crowded it will always take you at least 30mins to get around the corner. Make sure you're prepared because most streets are blocked off its rough.

we have the "big gay out" here in N.Z its a weekend long party from hell .We get all sorts of bands and dance partys that never end lolz
we don't get the protesters here as much as u guys do
we get a lot of ppl come to join in that are "strait" so i guess we have it a bit more lucky then u guys do .

By the Christopher Street Path Station its insanely crowded it will always take you at least 30mins to get around the corner. Make sure you're prepared because most streets are blocked off its rough.
