  • lol yeah dude ORU is accredited lol i just got outta the awesome Pre-Med course... Definately a good university to consider :)

  • Guess you need to hit the brakes or something...I see ORU's wheels for Jesus going full steam ahead!

  • Jesus Christ has returned. I AM..

  • This is about as Christian as the Clap........

  • Looks like Kari Jobe in the gray shirt. Kari does sing on the first ORU Worship CD. Great harmonies on this song....

  • doesnt kari job sing on the oral roberts univ. album? i know her voice from somewhere - i think thats it

  • NO it wasn't a worship competition. The competition was for reading, arts, literature, etc. This was at the closing ceremony of worship for the students

  • not cool.... God is what matters the most

  • love the drummer

  • kari jobe is in the background!!

  • What matters is that God is in the midst.

  • what song is this??? what's the name of it...I love it

  • Its called Heal Me. Its an ORU Original song. You can it on the Album Extrodinary.

  • What song is this...what is the name??? I love it

  • great song .. nice vid. hope to be able to buy the cd in holland someday

  • this is great- so much better than the music at ORU in the 70's when I was there!

  • Awesome! I'd love to get this song on CD!

  • Found it! there is a site called oruworship they have a CD called Extraordinary.

  • Runningchance, Why dont you focus your energy on saving the lost and move on. ORU is very soild in the word of God!!! It kind of reminds me of how some of the religous leaders treated Jesus. O.R.U. must be doing something right. I'm comming, from Canada, to visit this year for a couple days.

  • You forget that they were ruled by the old covenant. A new covenant was made when Jesus died on the cross. Really, just to end this, it really doesn't matter what our views are. God is the ultimate authority, and He knows what He likes. I believe that as long as we are truly trying to glorify Him, the kinds of instruments we use in doing so doesn't matter. I'm done with this, but I hope somehow we'll come to an understanding eventually... God Bless

  • kool, just a word of advice, find a new university that is accredited.

  • Let me step in and make a correction. Oral Roberts University IS ACCREDITED!!

  • In Old Testament times there were laws regarding what was a proper offering for God. Since they were still governed over by the Old Covenant the Bible says God "did not look with favor" on Cain and his offering. "By faith Abel offered God a better sacrifice than Cain did. By faith he was commended as a righteous man, when God spoke well of his offerings." Hebrews 11:4

  • Jesus did not limit his ministry to preaching simply to those who came to meet Him. He went across countless areas and met the people where they were at... so please explain to me how trying to reach unsaved people where they're at is conforming to the world?

  • No, let me make a correction on this. This video is not a worship competition. This was a worship night at a high school collegiate competition called ORUEF. Let me let you know one thing, I have worked for their ministry and they are the most generous givers I have ever met, so before you go running off at the mouth, get the facts straight.

  • For someone to be apart of there ministry..you should did get angry in this comment. For someone to be apart of the Lords grace...you shouldn't be so quick to lash out. I don't really care for contemporary Christian...due to the fact of the competitions and the fact they conform to the world to attract people. aka...drums...electric guitar. I'm looking for something that's different from the world...this isn't.

  • Because I am tired of all this false criticism of how we praise God. There is no such thing as a contemporary Christian. I don't know what kind you are, but if you read the Word of God they had the same instruments in the temple, the only difference is the electric one's so what are you talking about. You need to do a real good study on Psalms.

  • I agree with this comment. The ORU singers are amazing. I don't understand why everyone is being so negitive. It doesn't matter what type of christian music it is, it only matters what brings you into Gods' presence. These singers do that for me.

  • The only response I have for people saying worship should sound a certain way is that if all "Christian" music sounded exactly the same how would it reach the unsaved people who have different tastes in music? worship isn't about the music or the singing anyway. its about you and God; and may I point out that the entire point of a competition is to get criticism and tips to help lead people into God's presence better. Just some thoughts.

  • Actually, we sing to give praises to God, and I have never seen anywhere in the scriptures that it was for entertainment or self-edification.

  • Psalms is how the Children of Israel worshipped from the Old Testament, can you give an example from the New Testament?

  • "Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship." Romans 12:1

No matter how we worship, as long as edifying God is our focus then nothing else matters.

"I want men everywhere to lift up holy hands in prayer, without anger or disputing" 1 Timothy 2:8

  • That's a pretty big accusation, you know. I'm assuming you were meaning it that way.

  • This was a worship competition?

  • i plan on getting the dvd i love this song :]

  • WOuld you know who sings this song..oh by the way its great
