psp 1.5 is offical firmware but can run hombrew and isos but it cant play umd games requriring update 1.51 or higher. 3.90 m33-3 is a custom firmware and you can play homebew and isos but also play umd games because the psp thinks its 3.90 but its not its 3.90 m33-3

nope you need to have a 1.50 psp or custom firmware installed

also this video is very much out dated

you can now downgrade pretty much any psp

and install custom firmware using pandora battery and magic memory stick

Yes you can, I downgraded a TA-082 with Pandora's Battery and it has a built in patch so you wont brick it. Once down to 1.5 just get M33 3.52 Installation Noob Proof installing from 1.50, and extract it, and then just update from there. Very simple. With Pandora's Battery there is no risk of bricking. I have personally downgraded and hacked 23 psp's now. I have downgraded I think 8 TA boards, and I havent experienced one brick.
