There is no such thing as a soul. It is a human idea that was invented as a coping mechanism for humanity's natural fear of death. As well, the soul is the CORE of most religions and should be argued with an equal amount of zeal as an atheist would argue the idea of god.
So if my skull sits in a doctor's office, do I still exist? Just because an idea or a bone continues to remain after death does not mean the person still exists?
If we don't know if a person's body has decomposed in their coffin then we don't know if they still exist?
Hitchen's Ideas are not him because postmortem they are open to interpretation and he himself can no longer defend or explain what he actually meant.
