What you don't know is I am an experienced tow operator, and just because you can get into a car doesn't mean you can steer the wheel. Cars/trucks have steering wheel locks which means if you don't have the ignition key you aren't turning the wheel. If the guy had the keys he wouldn't even need a tow truck to repo this vehicle.
@killer2600 Either you can unlock the wheel to straighten the wheels so this doesn't happen or the driver of the tow truck knew that the wheels were turned like they are and either intentionally drove too close to something to hit it or was an idiot and didn't even check the steering wheel position.

@junekentucky Like I said already, without the key you can't unlock the steering wheel without breaking it so getting into the car during a repo is futile for fixing the wheel. Odds are the vehicles wheels were straighter but turned more in a turn (the steering lock has alot of movement before it locks) and the driver was absent minded to keep an eye on the vehicle. Forgotten to check. Cared that it was straight and secured so, not always. You can tow a car crooked, just remember it's crooked.

Charging their victim ridiculous fees sometimes $300 to tow the vehicle to the impound lot. They take advantage of their victims by using their car as leverage and they will charge 75/100 dollars a day just to store the vehicle. I don't know how they get away with it.

@nytmstr I'm from England and we don't really have school bus drivers as such over here but our tow truck drivers don't give a shit for other peoples' cars, although I can't see them doing something like this. Our taxi drivers aren't great though, and truck drivers from eastern Europe could be better.

@deathwish1. They have rollers they can put under the wheels if it's put into 4wd or is awd. But, they didn't lock the steering wheel straight. I've seen drivers that make sure the wheel locks and wrap the seatbelt around it to make sure it stays straight.
