at least you try to make it sound melodical without too much accentuation in your left hand like many does... first time i heard this piece was in some movie (Don't remember the title ages ago). I'm very much absent form music these days, but i think it's the closest to that movie version i've heard up to date. the quality of the video really does not justify how well u play and understand the piece. gj.
im not a musician or expert in any way, but i reckon thats more to do with the recording equipment (quality and positioning of it) than anything else, myself~~
The point of music is that it has to be music. Any tempo has his margins. When you go outside these margins you come in a situation at which it is discutable. What you say about speaking ia also in force of music. This interpretation is close to exceed the margins. I think for some people it is too fast.
wow that was amazing. i could never do that. i usually listen to alternative/indie rock but i really enjoy listening to baroque music. the harpsichord next to a double-necked gibson guitar is my favourite instrument. i've never heard of scarlatti before just the usual like mozart, bach, and beethoven. classical music tells stories without lyrics which is really cool and why i like it. thanks for posting.
its even better when it tells it with words...like handel's "messiah" and if you don't like english..try the st matthew passion by bach....looking for religious text...handel has several oratorios based in bible text...or maybe a mass...try bach's mass in b minor....trust me i've sung pieces by many classical composers...and believe you me...classical music isnt' just a harpsicord, pipe organ, or a couple of strings....expand your view of this area...you'll be glad you did.
I feel so... so nothing when i see such a thing!

Despite the sound quality, your interpetation is deadly amazing!

Less even, but less sloppy than Comarone.

It's a pity the camera doesn't allow us to fully see the Harpsichord keyboard while he plays.

Great technique, great regularity, yet expressive avoiding "metronome playing". Bravo!

Sorry, people... this sonata is a "Prestissimo". It is supposed to fly like a bullet from beginning to end. Very nice indeed :-)

prefer the version by Comparone, the instrument sounds more rotund & proud

great playing, but for me, the right hand flows to much, a little bit more structure would be find, for my taste
but anyway, great playing
