  • @JyackoPk I'm not obese and I find it hard to do a climb up, I'm working on it though.

  • shet !!!

  • @JyackoPk 1 - Some people have been helped by this tutorial. What harm has been done?

2 - There's more than just the planche you're talking about. There's also the planche that has been done by french firefighters for decades. The movement that is in the other video.

3 - climb ups are one part of this video. They are what leads to muscle up and then to the planche. The goal is the planche.

  • Very well explained! Congratz dude

  • Awesome video, thanks!

  • man this really helps, the final phrase boosted me, ill go outside now to train, thanks alot!!!

  • man, this really helps, the final phrase gives me strenght, ill go outside now thans alot!!!!!

  • helped alot thanks!

  • this helps alot :D

  • i scratch my nose by trying to do this..xD

  • bellissimo !!!!

  • hi man...i just have a problem on wall ups...its where you mention at 1:33...

I cannot change the position of my hands..i can do the pull up but i cannot to transit it to the dip...

Could you plz suggest me any workouts that will help me with this problem??

    Thnx in advance..

  • @nvriper Hi, what you can try is to do pull ups but instead of bringing the bar to your chin, try and bring it to your chest or even better your abs (the higher you go, the better). You can do the same thing against a wall : try to go as high as you can without changing the position of your hands. In time you'll have plenty of "air time" to do the complete motion :)

  • Awesome tutorial :D I gotta get used to putting my hands straight forward... Always did it with them pointing toward each other :P Atleast i have a good reason not to do that now xD

  • the girl on 0:13 was immpressed

  • YOU CAN DO IT!

  • YES YOU CAN!!

  • thanx a lot for the video it contains a lot of impotrant methods to obtain ... 5 stars

  • cool vid it help me alot

  • Thanks !!!! The planche on the bar tutorial was very helpful x me =)

  • the girl in 1:12 is like wtf is this kid doing?

  • GREAT VID!!!! 5/5

  • oh, ok ;)

thanks mate, that gives confidence :)

by now i can do a planche...but only with a wall

    without it's damn hard - i remember one time i did it...but i'll work on it :)

sorry for by bad english ^^

  • dude this realy looks way easyr i've been looking for the best tutorial i think i have found one thank you very much i might be possible to do it

  • i can do 13 pull ups

and 50-60 push ups without a break.

but i can't do this! is it morge technique or should i train my explosive strength?

  • pull ass passible as you can and tuck legz at the same time

  • ok..thanks ^^

    i'll try it ;)

  • its not about stregth its just about practice

the way i got them is to try it on it a corner wall, that way you get most of the power coming from your legs and you get used the action :0

  • thanks :)

i can do them now ...but i have to improve them :D

but you're right. - Practising is the best training

  • its simple really, train pull ups and you get better at pull ups.

train climb ups and you improve them :)

    you should film them :)

  • try get a fat cunt to do it

  • same problem here i think like someone said to me on a training today keep practising the basic of climb ups and keep pushing yourself

    hope it helped :)

  • more technique than strength...

timing is vital. the timing of throwing your knees up. and the time at which you transfer all your upper-body wieght over the bar.

  • ok...thanks man ;)

    i'll get it soon...i hope it :D

  • ah you will just dont give up. i nearlly did but then nailed them at last minute.

  • yes i did it, too...but only One time :/

i won't give up and try it again and again ;D

    good work ;)

  • yeyy, today i did it in hanging position on a bar (bad english, i know :D )..with much momentum it's really easy =))

  • You can do it. YOU CAN DO IT!.

    bu i can't do it :(

i think i need very much strength...altough i think that i HAVE enough strength :(

  • It's more technique and practice than strength. One of my friends can do a perfect planche, better than me. And let me tell you, I can do more than 60 push ups in 2 minutes and he can't do even 40. His arms are also less muscular than mine.

    Just keep practicing.

  • Very nice tutorial, thanks a lot.

  • how many pull ups would you say you would have to be able to pull this off, cause im not sure if I have the upper body for this yet

  • People generally say that 15 pull ups + 15 dips equals one muscle up......To me those numbers do not mean anything but still, it's a good start.

I started doing muscle ups when I could probably do less than 7 pull ups and around 20 push ups.

I could do around 3 very fast and powerfull pull ups though. This is what definately helped me.

  • zal pl zalosne

  • nice tutorial. hell yeah!!

  • nice video! def a help! and just love the finishing sentence!! nice nice

  • buen tutorial

  • cool video and tnx i think i will help me :D

  • nice chick passing by at 1:10 XD

  • at 1:12 the girl was like "what the...???"

  • I could do almost all vaults (except barel vault) but i had to stop parkour... even though i was doing it for over a year... you know why?I damaged my knees PRMENTALY FOR EVER cause i did stupid things like jumping from high areas without knowing how to land them correctly or how to roll... so please do not do the same mistakes... you will feel verry disapointed when you ll have to stop cuz of something you would wish you could take back...

  • ta chingon el tutorial yeah !!

  • Excelente tutorial ... Gracias!

  • "You can do it"

Now i have only one target in live - do this!!!

    GOD HELP ME!

    i trying 24/7

  • goshh...

    ur arm !!!!

    xD

    rated

  • Nice, your a good tracuer! Im just scaling walls but i keep on grabbing the back of the wall. Any tips.?... Btw im begginer. My moves: Dash Lazy Front flip Two handed side vault Precision Swing foot Running precision Pop-vault Scale...
  • thanks!

It must be a strength issue. Just keep at it, it will come with time and practice. When I couldn't do it, I just "propelled" myself enough with my arms to put both of my elbows on top of the wall at the same time. After that I just rested onto my belly to change the position of my hands and do a dip. Do what you can, there's more than one way to skin a cat.

btw the list reminds me of my beginning, ticking moves as i learnt them haha! I quickly stopped, it all becomes just movement.

  • Cool, thanks i've noticed that scaling bulding's helps my technique rather then walls.

So their isn't anything i can grab.

    Thanks for replying.

  • I CAN DO IT! =]

i loved that line thz a lot!

  • lmao here in NY, a few friends of mine find random days to just chase each other around doing parkour/ freerunning in random parts of manhattan, queens and the bronx...we once ended up near jersey.....lmao wat a day that was ^_^. Almost got caught once by vaulting in a construction zone.

  • hey thanks!! btw, you are really good at it.

  • is there an exact muscle to train (shoulder biceps etc.)in order to make the second variation any easier

  • your lats, or latissimus dorsi. the best way is to do things like pull-ups, because it uses the same pulling technique, but without the same level of power needed.

  • well alrighty then ill be sure to do that thanks

  • thnx for help, i did la planche and i can tell u its nofething other than training and trying it over and over again. I was doing it for a week and than something snaped in me and from that moment on i did every single la planche i tryied :)

  • this is the technique must be learned in order to break in houses... :)

  • thanks man helped me

  • thanks 4 this vid iv only jus started 3running and it this vid has helped my climbing technique

  • LOL, the girl went... WTF

  • I CAN DO IT!

Thanks for sharing this, helped me a bunch. :)

  • Great video, though I think there should of been some explanation on cat leaps because it looked like a few of those climb ups were the result of a cat leap.

  • i think it's not as much of a necessity as knowing how to climb up properly. Most traceurs can do cat leaps just a few months (sometimes a few days) after they've started training while i've seen a lot of practicioners having tremendous difficulties climbing up even after years of training.

  • I've been working on cat leaps for a few weeks and I'm finding it fairly hard soon as I add a decent amount of distance so it's more similar to a realistic jump, I end up with difficulties.

  • Well, I don't think I'm too young. I may not be that good at it but I can try and I'm happy with my one brain at the moment. :D cheers, pehaps you could send me a message about this. Don't want the comments to become an argument.

  • im 14 with the iq of a clever 21 year old, whats your point? i do parkour / freerunning, and i have not come across 1 major injury, other than scrapes and bruises, but hey, no pain no game. also, being clever to a certain extent is good, but also bad as you tend to think more about what to do, hence you hesitate at the wrong moment.

  • you really mean no pain no gain :)

  • yeah, thanks man lol

  • what's the song name:D??

  • 1 : Starship Troopers ost : The Roughnecks

    2 : Timeline ost : Timeline theme

3 : Full Metal Panic ost : Tuatha de Danaan

    4 : The 13th Warrior ost : 13th Warrior theme

5 : Starship Troopers ost : Wargame Victory

  • very thanks you so much^^ you help me a lot...

  • Those things actually seems possible to me, I've practised parkour for one year and can do pull-ups on most things whatever the hight since I can get up without pushing with my legs off the ground, though the thing you did on the tree looks impossible, Is that mostly about technique, strenght or?

  • it's about technique, timing and explosive strenght. One thing i've not mentionned in the video and which i believe can help is, when you do the pull up, try to bring the bar to the bottom of your ribcage as opposed to bringing the bar to your collar bone.

  • Awesome stuff! Do you have to be able to do pull-ups to do this because my arms are pretty weedy XD

  • pull ups constitute the first part of the movement ; if you can't do them, i doubt you can manage la planche. You don't have to be able to do many pull ups to manage one planche though. If you can do one pull up and "jump" with your arms then doing a dynamic planche shouldn't be a problem.

  • Thx for the video :D It helps ;] look my profile ;)

  • wow....clapping your hands above a pull-up bar....truly amazing :)

    and i thought i was good doing 3000 push-ups a month LOL

  • Lol...um, isn't that only about 10 a day?

  • One of the best climb-ups i've ever seen and the best tutorial i have encountered thus far thanks a million!! im finally starting to grasp the technique and getting pretty decent at tehm!

  • ok, I think I have the strength, but not the technique;)

  • but does it requires alot of strenght or just technique?

Were you strong when u first did it? XD

  • I believe you can do dynamic muscle ups when you are able to do one or two chin ups really fast (fast like your weight is not supported by your arms during a split second).

It definately requires some explosive strength but it's a lot more about technique.

  • i cant even do a muscle up...

  • how long did u practised that before u could do it?

    how old are u?

  • i got it quite quickly and didn't really practice to get it. First, i tried and failed then i forgot about it and when i tried again i did it with both arms.

I'm 19 now, i was 15 or 16 when i did my first muscle up.

  • ***** really good and usefull tutorial!!!!!!!

  • nice, you are truly friendly :)

  • Awesome strength man, good video too.

  • amazing tutorial really helps as the YOU CAN DO IT in the end, keep up the good work :)

  • Haha great tutorial. Loved the music :)

  • I CAN DO IT!! hey thanks man great tutorial. ive been struggling with these and this helped loads.

  • Very good tutorial... you have a lot of power. Are you sure it's bad for you to point your hands inwards though? I have seen many experienced people doing it

  • Absolutely sure. I've been given this advice by Laurent, from the yamakasi. Besides, he trains athletes from cirque du soleil. I think i can trust him ;)

  • Ah right, thanks for the info then ;D

  • this is BY FAR the best la planche tutorial i've seen, thank you so much!

  • Ionos!

  • this is great stuff very very nice exsample

  • wow, u must be strong! i need to go work on ma upper body strength, cause im as weak as a kid! haha

  • awesome tutorial man i can tell ur a great traceur

  • I CAN DO IT! LETS GO BEAT THE CRAP OUTTA THEM A... oh? i mean sure i can!

    it helped :D

  • good ;-)

  • nice - that helps, thnx

  • You forgot to say the most important thing on the climb up: What to do with your legs.

Climb up is not about just changing the position of ur hands, its about coordination of leg and ur pull up. You have to have an explosive pull up AND you have to pull ur knee towards ur chest aswell. Its like a kick u do when ur pulling ur body upward.

  • But this is a planche tutorial, not a climb-up tutorial...

  • for me it looked like a climb-up tutorial. And btw, planche is muscle up or climb up in french, if im not mistaken.

  • wow, 2:32 to 2:40 looks like a truly amazing spot.

  • That is superb! I'll go train it now... needa build up more muscle for it.

  • You are great! Let's just say after you inspired me to do these exercises to be able to do muscle ups easily, two months later I had to use my skills to, er, escape a bad situation.

  • nice fucking tutorial! I've always wondered how to do that shit, and so fast as you are! I'm going straight to train that ;)

  • Very nice dynamic strength you got, but you ought to sort out your hand placement after the transition. You sometimes have your fingers bent and placed under the palm. Dangerous!

Also, in addition to "it's not natural", regarding the inward-facing placement of the hands, it's not practical after the actual climbup, as you'll have to go over the wall over your inwards arm. Not practical!

  • I would also find it nice if you'd explain hand placement in a free-hanging planche, as this is a point most people don't get naturally.

Otherwise: Good Tutorial, and good example of explosive power.

  • Truly excellent

  • very nie :)

  • OMG, Your climb-ups and muscle ups (la planche) are amazing. Thanks for sharing this video.

  • ur good man i need 2 train 4 dat lol i stil use my elbow lmao

  • DO IT!
