love fat boys...they got that tude ya need not that crap look ya get on some of the HD range out there...i can only afford a cheapy HD but want a fatty one day...Cheers from Mark down under in Perth WA...keep it upright and ride loose brother..
Well, I am able to ride again and recently bought a 96 Fat Boy, and a couple weeks ago some idiot pulled out in front of me and I had to lay it down. He didn't even stop, but since it was in a parking lot at low speed, it didn't total it. Fixed it and got it rideable again, and now the only thing scratched is the engine guard and a highway peg, and I have to replace the left turn signal. It may not be as beautiful as the 09 was, but it's paid for, and its my baby. Ride safe!!
@rollandkirby i was wondering if u have got ur street glide if so the first thing i would do is pull that heel shifter off i think those things are dangerous i pulled mine off as soon as i got my street glide
@galvatronthekiller Actually I sold the Street Glide a couple of months ago, and I'm currently riding a Sportster Sport XL1200S, Thanks for the advice though.
You think you learn something by now that you have no idea what you're doing, riding a very limited bike, and you are NOT properly geared up to ride? Dumbass, stay in a car and stop posting how stupid a rider you are. Typical Harley owner with his head up his ass. Always the other guys fault. Get a real bike. I avoid all kinds of wrecks because I can.
The cager who hit you should be sentenced to life in a shopping cart. Get back on that bike, bro, and ride the hell out it. Make 'em hear those pipes in the next county.
hey yall im 6' 2" and roughly around 310. do any of yall know a good model of HD that wont have a problem with my wait and has forward mounted pegs/controls? and also fairly inexpensive. ive only been riding for half a year or so and im tired of my dirtbike.
any advice would be cool. just give me a pm thanks.
and by the way man, nice bike, and sorry to hear about the wipeout. my friend broke his collar bone in a similar insodent. not near as bad as you had it though...
I'm glad you weren't killed. In the small town I live in. A elderly man was killed by a guy in a truck when he drove off the right hand side of the road and overcompensated right into the man.
Damn, best wished for a quick recovery. I got cut off on the highway a month ago and my Shadow was totaled. No lasting injuries thankfully, just lots of bruises and a limp on the right side for now. Good luck and saddle up when you can!
Sorry about the accident. I have a identical 2008. Can't say I love it, it does not ride like a Harley. I had never driven a bike with the evolution motor before I bought the 2008. It runs great, yes, but there are almost no vibrations. It feels like I'm riding a Yahama. Also, the bike comes with very quiet pipes. Fuel injection means the motor runs very lean, so it is prone to overheat in the hot Texas weather.
Haha I don't know about over there, but here in America, Harley Davidson offers a Riders Edge class for $300(US) that teaches you everything you need to know over several days. I had no clue how to ride when I started the class, but I managed to make it through, pass the test, and get my license! If you are seriously interested in learning, Try looking around and see if someone local offers one of these classes. I don't know how hard it is to get a motorcycle license over there though.
this is the bike of all the time!!!!!! my favourite!!!! this is the most beautiful bike of the world!!! a symbol of power and freedom just like u.s.a!!! congratulations, one day i will buy this wonderful baby..... :D
It is beautiful, and I hope you get your dream of owning one! Its a great feeling to be out with the wind rushing past. Work hard, and save alot, and you can afford anything you want! Thats how I did it.
It certainly does! 6th on that bike can be thought of as overdrive, thats where you are going to get your gas mileage. If I was just going fast, I never shifted to sixth until about 70-75 mph.
great bike!!! whats the name of this song

Unfortunately I live in a country where this bike would cost 1.5 or 2x times expensive. :( Crysis...
I am sorry about the accident. :(
But it will be all right, dude. ;)
