She died pretty soon after she was bitten. Maybe three minutes. My aunt is a specialist with pets and has her own birds and she told us what had been wrong after we had explained it. so yeah. I never did get rid of the dog. My mom had offered it (as I'm 14) but I refused. I see it as instinct. Things happen whether you like it or not.
Watching your birds makes me miss my old conure Jack. He couldn't sing, but he liked to whisper sweet nothings in my ear. Keekee's a fantastic bird and you're a wonderful bird momma :D

Oh yes, absolutely! My african Grey will call me over to her cage, (she will literally say, hey, Denise, Come here) then when I get in front of her she will ask me for a kiss!
