PvMP gave me more of that LoTR feel than most of the PvE gave. Epic charges, esperate fights, taking keeps, it was awesome. But for some reason my account keeps gettin suspended and I got hacked a while back so itll be awhile till I get back...if I come abck at all. Screw f2P...

When I first tried creep play on LOTRO I thought, "I'll try it a day, hate it, and quit." I got one of each type to rank 4 just for the fun of it. Moors pvmp was my favorite pvp. Played on Brandywine and Meneldor (sp?). Some of those Brandy 3+ raid on 3+ raids were amazing. Only reason I left was that it was too good XD Had to quit 100% or play 100% Great vid, here. -RuffRuff Warg, Ticklecakes weaver, HelperMonkey Reaver, Doubletap Blackarrow. etc, RIP.

@goldenballs99 Most servers are like that, since Moria PVP has declined, one can only hope that once people have done the Mirkwood endgame PVP will go back to what it used to be like back in the good old days, although it seems very unlikely, levels 51 to 60 ruined everything that was good about PVP, RIP SoA PVP.

Comming from a person who lives and breathes PvP, I would say WAR. Although in my 2&1/2 years playing Lotro I've tried WAR 3 seperate times(longest being 2 months) and I still come back to LOTRO everytime. The PvE in the game is wonderful, obviously its LotR setting so thats always awesome and if you've watched the video, the small "sandbox pvp" ala PvMP has a ton of potential to be everything other PvP MMOs are, its just PvMP is a pure sandbox and the players make or break it.

and what I mean by the players make or break it, right now there is little incentive to be in the zone as a free people, so basically people can sit around and camp and farm all day in the same area, or people can move around and fight at the various keeps and outposts on the map, as well as the different terrian on the massive map(prob biggest in game). there are small and fun objectives but Turbine has yet to add incentive to take them. so alot of the time its zerg vs zerg farming.

IMHO, I played pre-bk 12 and seriously, from a business stand-point, PvE wise LOTRO is great and attracts a lot of customers, but just maybe a couple new maps or expansion of the same one and some new pvP gear and powers for creeps and they could attract an area of customers who love PvP.....common Turbine....

Yup, LoTRO PvP (from Moria expansion onward) has become a complete and utter joke. Turbine would do better to shelve its PvP servers and stick to its even more fail PvE coding.

WTH happened to LoTRO? It was once fun and entertaining... now it's stuck in fail mode.

Ah, the good ole days where melee classes had just as much use as any other class. Where rushing a keep with obscene numbers didn't necessarily mean victory, and my guardian had the great role of leading the charge.

It's a shame what PVMP has become since then.

Alas... what PvP populations were once like long ago... now they're more often a mere shadow of their former selves (in LoTRO).

Turbine dropped the ball on their PvM/PvP aspect... BIG TIME.

Thumbs up to the overall message, nice footage, and editing.

However I think this video effectively shows one major hindrance to fun PvP that plagues the 'moors--just look at how much of the combat portrayed is Players vs. NPCs.

The zone and PvMP in general need some serious work.

PvMP, in my opinion, was put in not to really be a PvP-centric place, but to test for exploits and general overpoweredness. NPCs don't complain when they're unrelentedly beat into the ground with no chance to fight back at all. Creeps do. Also, the Saul Zaentz company (dba Tolkien Enterprises) didn't really want PvP in the game.

Epic 'Moors video here Jebus. Fantastically well done. It really brings out the excitement felt during all those massive multi-raid battles we had. Doesn't happen very often now, but maybe thing'll get better again later on. I think my fav part of your video was where all the horses are riding over a small hill (at about the 1:08 mark) and one horse decides to stand out by doing a large jump right in front of your camera...heh...prima donna show-off. : )

Thank you for the comment, and yes that guy jumping on the horse made it hard for me to decide if I was going to put it in the movie, but no one knew I was filming this movie, and I didn't plan anything with anyone, so I just left it in there as some proof that all of this footage is raw :]
