I assume you're hearing so tips for ya..relax a bit cuz every time you sign, you stiffen up so some of the signs don't come naturally. I don't know if you have enough time to explore more in the deaf world. Look at the fluidity of the way they sign..

could you use that sign hot, to tell someone you are hot, like sweating, or is it only used to tell them about food, e.g spicy. like could I tell someone summer is hot, by showing them the summer sign first and then hot sign, or is it different.

I'm not sure if she's got the right signs or not; some of what she does are signs I have learned before so I have no reason to think she is wrong. In any case, bashing her video isn't making people want to learn what you consider "real" ASL. I speak Spanish as a second language, and I might not get everything 100% right, but I think what matters more is the ability to communicate with more people. The message is what matters. I would think the same is probably true of ASL.

I learned sign language when I was 12 from my best friend whose parents were both deaf. It helped so much! I'm trying to remember a few words. She's getting me all mixed up!

Yes. There's many different types. British Sign Language, Japanese Sign Language, Spanish Sign Language, Mexican Sign Language, English Sign Language, and American Sign Language... Just to name a few.
