I went to that college for a few semesters (I was in that choir) and their music is far from secular. In fact, it is done right and has more life than other Christian colleges.

Is not a song with a smooth rythme, beautiful words that glorify the King, and a faithful servant to use their talents FROM the Lord FOR the Lord, Biblical?? How could this be a song that sounds like it's coming from the lost & not the saved?? "I stand REDEEMED by the BLOOD of the LAMB.." sounds like it could have been written by my saved soul, as I too can stand & testify that I've been redeemed, praise God!

Why is it that so few believe biblical music? this sounds like a secular song sung by the lost not the saved, those who are called unto holiness. The words and the music don't send the same message. We as Christians are to sound different from the world not like them. "And that ye may put difference between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean;" Leviticus 10:10

@amme2112 I agree. Not only did he not seem to be able to sing as high as he was singing -- which was not really that high -- but his voice sounded too. . . much like his talking voice. Kinda odd.

@AtariMaxiToriyama We all have a limitations. The good news, we can get good coaching and work on it. Tone quality, breath support, sustained notes, vibrato control, etc. Sometimes I wonder how much actual training kids get (listening to tapes and mimicking not counting!) Wish these schools would avoid the Lawrence Welk solo styling (guess they consider it 'old fashioned'). Ciao.

I've been praying about going to WCBC for around four years now, still praying about it :). Its almost to the point of decision :/.

I highly recommend WCBC as it is a very good college, and although I am going to Golden State, it was a very hard decision choosing between them. God told me GSBC though, so I'm going! Praise God this song is so good!

I've met with someone who works at WCBC when I went to camp with my youth group. I was really inspired by what God was doing in my life at that time and thats when I first knew that God wanted me at a Baptist college. So, I'm still praying about it :). I've never even heard of GSBC but I've bookmarked it's website and will probably call the guidance sometime near the end of next year when I'll need to know what I'm doing. Thanks for the info. =)! I go to the Ranch in TN every year, I go this year July 13th! Its truly the highlight of our youth group's retreats and everything. I love it!!! I hope that the Lord will lead me to be a counselor there some day =). I bet the west branch is probably the same thing just better weather lol. Its hot in TN but we get rain almost every year we go. I live in Ohio so its a long drive on a bus too.

I love that college. I was there for the 2008 winter classic basketball tournament. that college has such an emphesis for God, I was touched and my life was changed by the devotions and prayer meetings in founders I. I am seriously praying about going there. I highly recommend the college to anyone wanting to follow Gods will in their life.
