Lovely birds to look at but I prefer the song of the blackbird. These are really screechy, bordering on the sounds that parrots make.

my father had those around 20 of em, i remember him saying that its important for this bird to have a big nest that is in a shape of a box it cannot be an open roof nest

I use a standard finch nest box, which worked fine with my first pair. This male tosses the eggs from the nest. I may try again next season & see if he has outgrown that tendency.

Unfortunately, none. She never lays in the nest box. I don't quite know what to do.
