I have a rubber iPod touch 3G case and it also has a hole on the back. I asked one of the workers about it and he said it was made for the new iPod touch 3G. And they made these cases before the 3rd gen even came out.

Watch other vids. There is an itouch comming out with camera in the middle of the iPod it should be comming out in September 2010 hopefully the reason why it did not come out withe the other iPod is because too many issues with the inside of the iPod. Now they should have fixed it. Now we just have to wate.
