Hugo and Frank are both great Megatrons, but each one to his own unique way. Hugo has the darker and more sarcastic tone, while Frank sounds more evil. and i laughed my head of from 0:52 until 0:57

this frank weikler guy is great and all but i like megatron's voice done by hugo weaving in the movies, the much more evil voice goes with his much more evil face in the movies and of course petter cullen is awesome couldn't imagine anyone else as optimus

Now, Welker does the voice for Megatron in ALL the games, so why isn't he doing the movie voice? These two are so fantastic.

Because it wouldn't sound right to use his raspy voice in a live action film.

Audiences would have a hard time taking Megatron seriously if he uses a voice that sounds like someone who's been chainsmoking on a daily basis.

False. Hugo Weaving did the voice of Megs in both films. Frank Welker did the voice for Megs in every game, every promotional piece, and everything that ISN'T the movie itself.

@herio907 i think is just the fact that Welker's Megatron is unique on is own(more of dictator type Megatron) Bay didnt think it would fit into the the monster of bot name Lord High Megatron in the movie. Give Hugo Weaving credit, he did a hell of job protraying the monster.

He did do a good job, when they weren't augmenting his voice to make it sound like he was talking through a blender. My point is, why do they keep getting Welker to do Megatron for all these games, despite the fact that (in the movie), Megatron sounds nothing like him? There is a lack of sense here since they always try to make the characters sound the same between the game and movies, even if they have to get someone else to do the character. It just doesn't really make sense.

@herio907 i would guess the game is produced in North America and being that Weaving resided in Aussie, it would be easier to get Welker to do it. (Bay revealed in the DVD that he had Weaving records line for Megatron while he was in Aussie) It could however also due to the fact to make up for the uproar of not having Welker's legendary voice (as a compromise to the loyal fans grew up adored the 80s series) here is a bonus : Harnell voiced Barricade in movie while David voiced Barricade in game.

The only new Transformer movie information is about something called "Transformers One" which has absolutely nothing to do with Bay (who has stated that he was going to be done with Transformers after Dark of the Moon). They hinted that TF1 will be relating to the Transformers Prime movie that has been talked about since the series started. Go look at stuff released by Hasbro and not some "movie buff".

That's something completely different, though. Marvel has stated forever ago that they were doing an Avengers movie. Whoever you were arguing with was a total dumbass. However, Bay said he won't do another Transformers movie. Spielberg said he'd like to do another one, but start fresh if he did (A reboot, if you will).  Hasbro has only announced something called "Transformers One" which has nothing to do with anything at the moment since no information has been revealed.

@herio907 with the end of the 3rd one really hard to have another one. Megatron got his head cut off and sliced by OP. Starcream too was killed along with Soundwave and Shockwave (those 4 are the core Decepticons from the 1985 series-well, there was also seeker Thundercracker and Skywarp and Soundwave's casettes)sometimes hollywood should just leave it as it is, all these reboot just isnt working. i dont mind prequel thou. the cybertron war is something deep they can go into.

@MingTongPang54 They are going to make two more movies, that much is confirmed. Now, whether it will be a sequel or a prequel is unclear at the moment, though it is leaning toward sequel. The only thing I can think of is if they have Unicron and somehow he creates Galvatron from Megatron's spark, or something of that sort. If they revive Megatron again, I will NOT go to see the movie.
