@Imakeplanesboom your right didnt pay much attention, apears to be a 2002 based on it saying wrx and having the bug eyes. making it a 2.0. in anycase i believe factory boost pressure on that is about 14psi. ill take a basic bolt on cobra pullied and exhaust puts down almost 500rwhp(i understand its not sc anymore, but lets assume 500 is an easy number) stock wrx 230 at the motor. even with a larger turbo and head work i doubt very much that it could make what probebly has to

@bman20000 edit. i did just see a wrx claiming it made 450awhp at 24 psi so i was a little off. Oh and on the gas mileage, when on the gas both cars probebly get the same crappy mileage, because hp is hp takes pretty much the same a mount of fuel to make it. Off the throttle the 6 speed in the cobra and what could be high gearing can easily get him 25-26 mpg on the highway. ive gotten 30.8 all high on eco tune on my gt...altho it ran like crap when trying to accel lol

@kylewest100 stock for stock a WRX vs a Cobra in a straight line wont be much of a race, throught turns that cobra wouldnt have a chance. Now, an STi vs a Cobra Stock for Stock is a much better race. I love my STi, ive never had a problem with any cobras especially in canyon roads where things get twisty. IMO that rx7 is pretty fuckin cool, i have no idea why youre hating. I didnt want to be the one to ask but what do you drive that puts you on such a high horse?

there only a very few imports i actually like subaru wrx is one or it used to be until i got the chance to drive one. they make no power at all. and im not gonna buy a car that needs to have several grand put in it to make it fast. ill take that cobra though lol i bet it cost just as much or less than that shitty four banger and will beat that ricer stock for stock no prob. plus u can easily make it have more boost just by changing lil things and tunning it real nice. muscle all the way.

@kylewest100 In terms of MAXIMUM PERFORMANCE, the STi will OWN a GTO.. Cornering in a GTO is comparable to driving on flat tires.. Add a Turbo back exhaust, with a good tune to the WRX. With Launch Control and Flat Foot Shifting the STi will own or stick right with anything from 0-70mph. If you plan to only drive straight then thats a good plan..

@TheSaabaruskie no in max performance stock for stock the gto wins unless your running in the mountains or autocross and absolute max turbos and nos the gto wins all day you cant take a car with half the motor and beat a car with twice the torq and hp. im talking about displacement. if you have a boosted wrx running high boost and a ls2 running high boost its gonna be the gto all day baby. and the gto is a nice car its built to ride good unlike the sti it rides like a skateboard
