  • Cool, that kind of reloading looks a lot more complicated than a progressive loader. Like you set up tho!

  • Citadel paint, huh. You betray your nerdly roots, sir:-)

  • I thought 45 took large primers

  • @brianallen0826 i think i had a few hundred Speer brand brass that had small primers, i just separated them.

  • Zack,pretty good set-up.

  • I see that games workshop paint there!

  • You need to make a video showing us how to make your subsonic loads.

  • @smooglepoot yes I would like to do that, but I've not 100% perfected the process. Its time consuming and not very accurate. but I have a few more ideas to make the subsonic load work.

  • Nickel plated Brass is more likely too fail and explode compaired too normal Brass. Be careful. If you have reloaded several times with these do you underload them too get more use out of them?

  • very nice set-up. Thanks for the info.

  • @barnettzack thanks for the reply. if you want some super imformation talk to blammer6mm.

  • Check out:

    castboolits.gunloads.com

Lots of good folks there. Your setup is way too neat, though! :-)))

  • have you thought abou cast bullets for shooting reduced loads in your 30 cal?

1 to 2 cents a bullet for cast is pretty cheap and very accurate too!

  • @barnettzack did i hear you right, your loading 7mm (.284)bullets on a 308?

  • @ipaintyou1 yes sir. i paper wrap the .284 110 grain bullet up to a .30 cal diameter into a .308 case, and use a very small pistol like powder charge. the bullets are set to fly @ about 950-1000ftps. good for taking small game with a large game rifle. or having a younger shooter use a large rifle. i also use this technique in my .338 win mag rifle. all though i have not 100% perfected the accuracy.

  • reminds me of the movie tremors, when the graboid breaks into the survivalist guys basement, and they are tumbling brass at the time. they grab guns off the wall and start blasting the monster lolol

  • how long did it take you to reload 1000 rounds?

  • @OregonBackpacker i think 4-5 hours but we were B.S.ing with each other most of the time.

  • Nice vid.

  • hey man if you need any 9mm or 45 brass let me know I work for a new company K&A ammunition and we are selling some of our components..

also for the 223 try H335 thats a good powder to use.

  • Very cool, thanks for showing. I hope to start reloading eventually, once I'm more financially stable.

  • I got into reloading almost 10 years ago and I love it. For .223 I use to use Accurate Arms 2230 powder. It was designed just for the .223. It worked really well but now I use AA 2495. It's a good "general purpose" powder that works in all my rifle loads. (.223, 30-30 cast lead or jacketed bullets, 6.5x55 Swedish, 7.62x54, .303 British) I also reload .40 S&W, 38 Special, .357 Magnum.with AA #2, AA #5, HP-38 and HS-6 for medium hot .357 Magnum loads. If you have any questions just ask.

  • @mickeymurrs nice! sounds like your keeping busy, i used IMR 4064 because i can use it in .223, .308, and now some of my .338 win mag loads. i really hate reloading mass amounts of .223 there is so much case prep to be done. also sounds like you have a sweet collection of rifles too. thanks for watching!

  • @barnettzack That's the same reason I got away from the AA2230, because I shoot the other stuff a lot more than I do the .223. My most frequently used round is the 30-30 with 165 grain cast lead & 15 grains of AA2495 "cowboy load" I use this in a Winchester 94 lever action and a Stevens 325C bolt action. Good cheap plinking fun and is deadly on jackrabbits out to 100 yards.

  • @barnettzack I used to use IMR 4895 and H-4895 until it got too hard to find and had to switch to the AA 2495. All of these are nearly identical powders and have found that I don't have to make much adjustment in the powder charge when switching.

  • I highly suggest the Dillon XL-650. I have owned one for the past 15 years and there really isn't a better made or supported product out there. If anything breaks and it will break on anything, you just give them a call and they replace it. No questions asked. One huge advantage to the Dillon is that the seat and crimp die's are separate. Doesn't sound like a big thing but it is!

  • Very Nice Setup .

  • Thanks for the vid I am looking at setting up something like it.....are you saving any money on reloading 9mm. I can buy wal-mart WWB for about .23 a round and to reload it i am looking at about .25 a round. Just wondered your experience. Thanks again.

  • @paranormalservices i'm at about .14 cents a round for 9mm. so $7 a box of 50. and 9mm where i'm at is about $17 a box of 50. i use berrys bullets, you can buy them cheaper right from there website. 1000 small pistol primers are $40 and any 1 pound bottle of powder is $26 for me. don't buy 9mm brass, there is as many 9mm brass cases on the ground at your local gun range then there are flies in the swamp. try to reload other calibers. and reloading in massive bulk saves even more money.

  • @barnettzack really ok I will look in to that stuff I have about 750 9mm brass already so I am not buying it. I can't really reload anything else cause I only have 2 9mm right now so I am kinda stuck but thinks for the cheap brands I will have a look see at what I can find
