they fog up because they have WATER inside of them, meaning the gaskets leak or they have moisture inside. I had a humminbird fog up and sent it back, replaced straight away under warranty no more foging.

yeah humminbird was playing catchup with lowrance and garmin with these units. i think the co got bought out and really needed to push the matrix line of finders. i had a matrix 17 and it fogged up too. the side imagine units are mind blowing. im still learning new things with mine

These are cool,I bought a brand new one from Basspro shops,took it to the Philippines the first time I used it it fogged up ,and every time after that,I still love it but the 47 3D also has a alarm problem. They been making these for so long ,People love em, I called the co but all I got was a silent reply.Its to bad this co is this way,They need to send these to Japan to have their units made right.whats wrong with these people? I also heard the same complaints from other 47 owners.But nice vid
