Magnús Blöndal Jóhannsson composed this song in 1962. It's about a small aeria on the south coast of Iceland called Öræfi (formerly Litla-Hérað wich means in English 'Small-Province' or 'Small-region') and this region was between huge fields of sand so it wasn't easy to get there. And the song is called 'countryside between sands'. Hope this makes sence and will help =)
