Honey bees are also very docile and rarely sting. Many people mistake various types of wasps for honey bees, giving the honey bee an undeserved, bad rap!
@Honeybuun1018 actually paper wasps (or wasps in general) are actually very docile and will only sting if you try to hurt them. The ones you have to look out for are the Yellow Jacket and the Bald-Face Hornet.
Yay I love bumblebees!! :) I actually like honeybees as well as bumblebees, but yeah, I agree, bumblebees are the really docile ones. But I hate wasps, they prey on my little bee friends :(
I just went out to weed my garden and all of sudden a bumble bee was chasing me and he stung me twice. I am okay but the reason is as that i have tons of flowers and ahuge garden what is a bee to do when a big fumblein human steps on its hive? Well I be putting a basket over it to mark the next and i live and let live....Maybe I get more flowers....???? LOVE THIS VIDEO
agree with smoked1......GREAT SONG for this vid......Great song anyway....:) I have this HUGE bumblebee that goes in the bush by my front porch, i have only seen the one though, and it has more yellow in it then the ones here. I try to look in there to see what i can see, and i can't see anything, but it's in and out all day long....What do you think it's doing?? It's not in the ground, it just goes into the bush....??? Like i said, it's HUGE!!!
Bumble bees are flying and playing with each other its funny on my roof , they are very nice bees, never sting their smart! I sit in a chair and watch them play and build hives :D bumble bees are awesome!

@HornetMan101 Could be. They were in a field and it was several years ago. Chances of having their nest mowed over by the land owners was probably about two to three times a year. Their nest set-up was different than this. They nested deeper down in the ground, more like yellow jackets, but they were bumblebees.
hmmmm never knew for sure till now, ah im not a fan of most wasps/stniging things but bumble bees are cool, never knew they nested though i always thought they were solitary, wonder how big the biggest queen is? how bads the sting if your not allergic and if your allergic? life span? most in a colony on average? how easily agitated into defense mode? please and thank you mon!
These look a bit more tame than the bumblebees I tend to come across in the Midwest. Usually I get chased off if I approach their nest. (that's about it though.)
While watching the following videos with the screen tilted back a bit do this - quick short stop/starts on the Play button. Do you see the "O waves" or "Sky Waves"? The camera catches them. Video is "Does Orgonite Eliminate Chemtrails"
With Video called "Effects of Orgonite in the Environment:" stop at 0:57, 0:58,...... to 1:09 mins. And have the screen tilted kind of dark. See the "O Waves"? soisnessdotorg
Great stuff! A pleasure to watch. I really enjoyed this video. I discovered a Bumble Bees nest in my garden this year and have had to put off building a garden wall so as not to disturb them! However I now look at them in a different way altogether and have enjoyed the chance of just watching these fabulous little creatures going about their business. Still very wary of them though and avoid them if they get too near. Once again many thanks for posting, good viewing..
Unlike Honey Bees, Bumblebee stingers aren't barbed, so they can sting multiple times without ripping out vital organs. But don't be nervous, because bumblebees are a LOT more friendlier than honeybees.
@hellraiserlEEt i like to pick up the bumble bees cause their cute and fuzzy lmao most of the time i didnt get stung cept one time i got unlucky and the queen had pms ><
I have bumblebees all in my yard all the time. I thought they would fly away when I run the lawn mower but sometimes they land right on it while I'm running it as if they are telling me to be quiet.
bees are some of the most amazing creatures (in my oppinion) on earth, a perfect harmony of functions leading toward one grand crushendo, utterly amazong, us humand could learn something from this haha
Great film. Of all the social bees they seem the least aggressive. Thanks for the tips in the video - I might try and see what I can do to encourage a nest this year.
me too, they are so cute and gentle. I've also planted flowers they like in my garden. And they make honey too but I've never seen it being commercialized...maybe it's not so yummy ^___^
Nice video. While mowing a neighbors back yard I'd see big bumble bees. I never saw any nests or holes in the ground. I always thought it was funny and scary when I would step backwads they would fly up. I'd step forward and they would fly back down if I was trying to move the mower towards them.
definately not agressive. if i see a bumble bee on a flower i walk right up, cup my hands gently round the flower and the bee flies around in my hand then gets out. never been stung doing it. try THAT crap with a yellow jacket. bumble bees make me happy cause they are cute.
Afaik, the back muscles of bumble bees are too weak to ram their stinger under the skin. So in defense, bumble bees lay on their backs and stick their abdomend towards the attacker, so they can prop against the ground. Therefore one should never wedge a bumble bee (eg. catch), since this enables it to sting.
This is hickatoogawa on another acount... I love bees even more now! I had a colony by my house and there was a small hole uder the nest, so I could put a bucket under it to catch any huney that may fall out! and the bees didn't mind at all :)
I love bumble bees... any one that thinks that they're destuctive or will sting you for no reason... is pretty null minded, bees are friendly
That's cool. I'm glad you didn't destroy them. We had a really big bumblebee nest in our garden under the flagstones one year and it never caused any trouble.
I love Bumble bees! my friends are scared of them, but I think they're adorable! They won't sting you unless you try to hurt them, they're our friends...
thats cool i never got to see a bumble bee nest before how deep do they go are they like wasps with lots of combs if any? this is a very educational video of these bees
I think they nest in shallow nests - not underground like wasps. As the blurb said above - an abandoned mouse nest is often used - or a pile of old dry leaves or similar, I've been told. I knew that bumble bees nested in this way - but before this video I had never seen one.
I am very fond of bumble bees. As you said they are very docile - I even used to stroke them when I was a little kid - of course I never got stung - not even once...I've never seen a nest before. Cool, thanks for posting. Hope it will dispel the myths about bumble bees.
