I wish I could rewind the time to the 90s and relive my childhood! Channel 5 was on form back in the day.. Always remember watching this and Beachcomber Bay before I went to primary school. Nostalgia!
I remember the song about Colin the Coot, Millie the Moorhen etc as well! I don't think the duckpond characters appeared as puppets until the later series - I only remember Brian Cant doing the song accompanied by pictures of the birds and frog.
I'd love to see Bric-a-Brac as well - probably the best series Brian Cant ever did.
i miss being young i had bad memories of thisbecause everytime it came on i knew it was time i had to set off to school wish i still had that problem :(
theres a black tufted duck with a bright yellow beak. hes called lucky ducky and he quacks witha squeek. a morehen call millie has a nest next door and hustles and bustle by the cold sandy shores.. or something like that!!!!
@monsbabydoll666 then there's Colin the coot who's a bit of a lad. He's always up to mischief but he's not really bad. And Harry the Heron standing under the willow, still in the water as he waits for a minnow. Last of all is Fiona, a tiny green frog who can swim under water and climb a big log...it's sad that I still remember the words
i must admit the shows i used to watch as a kid were alot more educational than they are now ... now kids just watch some cartoons running around chasing some freaky aliens or monsters
This program rocked ! Has anybody got any more footage of this to upload ?? Who remembers colin the koot, who was a bit of a lad down on the duckpond !! lol we need more dude !
'Wave your arms and tickle your chin, this is where you've got to begin, ready to count? Ready to shout? And I'll tell you what it's all about down on Dappledown Farm. Number 1 is Dapple the Horse, he's in charge of course, and he makes a noise like this .... Number 2 is Mabel the Cow, with a wrinkled brow, and she makes a noise like this .... Number 3 is Samantha the Sheep, and she's always asleep, and she makes a noise like this....' and so on it went...
aww how lovely, this brings back so many haooy childhood memorys of getting up at daft o'clock and watching telly, none of my friends remember it though
