Mama: Oh, for Pete's sake, Phillip, instead of dropping out of thin air once every 5 years to humor me about my hair, you'd think you'd look in the mirror and think about getting a decent haircut yourself.

It always annoyed me that Phillip was doing so well, but you can understand why his visits were so seldom; however, why couldn't he give Eunice a job or help her out? He is always meeting someone successful, and I'm sure he could pull any string, but he doesn't. Even if he gave her some fake job that would make her feel important like 'fan club president'. He lets her be poor? How is that family?

@pgy002 In real life....Harvey Korman got his own show, on ABC..He was given a lot of money to do his own show. IT did not do well. That is why we seen Dick Van Dyke from time to time on The Carol Burnett.

I know he was just a minor character but the Family sketches weren't the same without Ed. Also, I was disappointed that the rotten Easter egg never showed up. I kept waiting for Mama to find the Easter egg.
