  • I don't have add, I don't do drugs, but this is still fucking awesome

  • He just makes good mashups that are fun to listen to and dance to, no one is claiming hes reinventing the wheel. but his mashups are more successful than most other people so at the very least that proves he has an ear for music. is there really anything wrong with putting your own spin on someone else's music? Its been done forever. Mashups are still an art form, think of it as musical collage! You take something thats already there and make it something new.

  • @typ0graphy Yeah but he would be nothing without those artists. That's like taking 10-15 famous paintings and putting them together and calling yourself a fucking artist.

  • @usernamepasswordG people do that too they're called collages

  • @punkrocky9 And again, those collages won't exist without those artists so what's your point? If those artists do it purely for art it is one thing but if there is profit involved then I can not abide. They are profiting off the artists which is in fact illegal for x amount of years (60-80 years aka lifetime of an artist).

  • @usernamepasswordG He gives credit to every artist he samples, so he doesn't claim those samples as his own, but the actual full pieces of music he makes are original to him, there for, his songs.

  • After my first week of DJing I totally appreciate this man now.

  • three six mafia with smashing pumpkins :D

  • @cheapalien Hell yeah dude! Someone really has to make a mashup of Stay Fly (3 6 mafia) and 1979 (Smashing Pumpkins).

  • i masturbate to this song

  • @ariakurzeme i masturbate to this comment

  • @mrzipdisk I masturbate to this reply

  • GIRL TALK!

  • Girl talk is party music that's talented. He mixes every live show too. Nothing to do with add or facebook

  • Kid 606 is for the ADD generation. I'd be more impressed if he did it with decks like Kid Koala.

    Now THAT's a master!

  • @robotsmakesushi

It is only a coincidence both artists start with Kid, oddly enough. They just do.

  • I like listening to a bunch of their songs on my ipod especially without the pause between songs because they just FLOW together. I LOVE THIS

  • all bow down to the mighty fleetwood mac

  • I am an old guy. My kids turned me on to this guy, I love what he does. Its music for the Facebook generation

  • @mrshad544

Thats exactly right... its music for a new generation hold back bij copyright corparate industries who hold copyrights on music... watch rip remix manifesto...

  • It's music for A.D.D people, and I like it

  • i get what he's doing and i support his right to do it but this mash up shit sounds horrible. you hafta be on drugs to dig this stuff. maybe i'm just not hearing the right stuff. any suggestions that might change my opinion?

  • @BurningThemDown Try taking drugs

  • @BurningThemDown faaaaggggeeetttttttt

  • @BurningThemDown maybe it's simply not your taste, this song is a sorta mileage may vary thing.

  • @BurningThemDown just let your ears listen! GT usually picks one song for the upbeat and another for the lowbeat then switches one out then another. if you pick up on one of them you'll hear how it all fits together

  • I'm seeing him live tonighttttt :D

  • Fleetwood Mac is the BEST part!

  • Smashing Pumpkins.

    *Jizzes*

  • unforgettable 1979 SamshingP...great mix!

  • you leave you leave you leave you leave your girl around me if she bad she gonna get stuck

  • the beggining is the shit

  • @SuperNdude what the song call in the beggining

  • @kaneef13 The first 2 songs he mixes in the beggining is 1969 by smashing pumkins which is like the cool guitar music and the rap is by 3 6 mafia and I think that song is called "gotta stay high" but I'm not positive thats the name of it

  • @SuperNdude thx

  • How you doinnnnn mary jane?

  • love thiz

  • Yo drank gone get drunk up!

  • kings of mash ups:

    1.Milkman

    2. Girl Talk

    3. SUper Mash Bros

  • @TheMrEgghead i believe you may have overlooked Norwegian recycling

  • @TheMrEgghead What about Z-Trip?

  • he was live here at the Murat in Indianapolis last night, i was there for a diff concert, but that shit was loud when we came out of our concert!

  • @Allinum1 girltalk doesn't really do live shows. he presses play and dances, then once in a while has to press the trigger for the next song.

  • @dreman1410

He actually dj's his sets live on stage, using turntables, switching records ect. not to mention the stuff he does in between all this; he's really quite an entertainer.

  • @MissKobi1

He doesn't use turntables. He does it all on one or two laptops. But he does actually do things besides hit play. Best show I've even been to was his at Bonnaroo 2009

  • PURPLE SMOKE

  • damn! fleetwood mac!

  • i saw him live a week ago, hes goood O.O

  • What I can't understand is how all the corporations that might want to sue him or anyone else posting on youtube can't see they are getting the best free promo' ever

  • i know, are they brain dead or something? xD

  • @Gefilta He's never been sued and now many of the record labels are in fact sending him accapellas/instrumentals so he can use them to create his mixes and promote their bands.

  • Old ass dad of two doesn't need the X to get nuts with this guy.

The evolution of musica and the direction some of these artists are taking with rips is simply mind blowing.

Great stuff and keep on with the RASH

  • my sis saw him at this big palooza thing and wiz khalifa was there he was great

  • dude, he fuckin knows how to turn it at live shows. last night blew my mind.

  • wait so does he just sample a bunch of songs together and then lead massive raves??? i could totally get into that

  • YEESS!! i just got back from his concert it was CRAZY!

  • RIT? Hell yeah, great time!

  • Yea dude

  • lmao. amazing isnt it. get his album Nghtripper, get your X pills ready and have fun. Lord knows i do :)

  • @mavriksfan11 not that easy bro

  • @mavriksfan11 not massives, not even massive actually. Just parties//clubs//tours//festivals. Theres no rave.

  • @sirmichaeloftherocks bro u know there mini raves everyones chillin with molly

  • @jbdfc Ehh, somewhat mini rave yes. Festivals and concerts can have electro guys thus bringing a rave crowd. Like, this years Coachella had Deadmau5, so yeah Rave :/ and the molly part, yes, unfortunately true :/. Nonetheless it is a killer time!

  • @sirmichaeloftherocks i've been to his shows. they're as close to massive raves as it gets. he sold out every time i saw him

  • @mavriksfan11 more or less

  • @mavriksfan11 Yes

  • @mavriksfan11 You can try.

  • abletinnn live

  • wow you folks can find the sample.. love the girl talk.. but hold the sample comments we all know the old tune...

  • pretty rad

  • super mash bros is minimal editing and popular 90's songs. girl talk's sample use is widespread over decades of music. he's pulling out rock songs that no one has heard of since the 60's.

  • @amahdrashad12 really cuz smash bros used Eleanor rigby, which im pretty sure wasnt made in the 90s dipshit. mash bros fuckin represent.

  • @Samtheholzer listen asshole. first off if you're all about "mash bros represent", then call them by the right name consistently ( "really cuz smash bros" ). second, i posted that comment over a year ago, and since then mash bros have realized they cant do 90s samples forever and have branched out. so dont give me shit, especially when 18 people since the like system came out have agreed with me

  • @Samtheholzer "Super Mash Bros is a musical project...taking all of your favorite hits from the 90’s and combining them with todays chart topping rap hits"

"When Super Mash Bros. say that they’re taking all the hits from the 90’s up, they’re don’t lie."

two quotes from an old album review btw

  • @amahdrashad12 So do you honestly believe that Eleanor Rigby was made in the 90s? Or did you just ignore the points that I made. I don't give a fuck what the reviewer said because it doesn't seem like they actually listened to them. The Mash bros, use a wide variety of sample they aren't just pigeon - holed in the 90s.

  • @Samtheholzer read carefully: i acknowledged the only point you made. i said back when i posted that comment, their instrumental samples and the whole vibe of their music was 90s. that album was called fuck bitches get euros. their newer one, which is called all about this scrillions is the one containing eleanor rigby, and therefore legitimizing my claim that "mash bros have realized they cant do 90s samples forever and they have branched out". so i'm right, and i was right a year ago. suck it.

  • @amahdrashad12 the scrillions*

  • @amahdrashad12 your apparentley a fn five year old douchebag that doesnt know anything about any kind of music

  • 1979 by smashing pumpkins,yes!

  • can i get this as a ring tone??

  • HAHAHA

  • Night Ripper is my favourite Girl Talk album.

  • @Russbear totally met to thumbs up that haha. such a sick album.

  • dude ya right on bromaster flex

  • just some appreciation.

    and jizz

  • this shit makes me jizz

  • fuck yeah girl talk= the best shit ever

  • QQ more FHhanbanan

  • love.

  • he's really not that good - the only reason he is considering good is because of the fame of the samples he uses. Fleetwood Mac, Smashing Pumpkins, etc, he's not even creative; he takes a whole sample and puts a beat under it. Sure, it's fun, but it's not actually good music.

  • Isn't fun music good? Your definition of good is completely subjective. Obviously a lot of people like the music. If they like it they probably think that it's good. If he's not creative why aren't you making lots of money doing the same thing? I don't see the point in commenting on something just to put it down when people come to the page because they like the music. You state your opinion like it is a fact "he's really not that good". As if everyone who thinks it is good has been fooled.

  • I've seen Girl talk live, and to say the least, in defense of the earlier poster, his live show is boring. The guy could walk away for an entire set after clicking a button. Fun music isn't neccesarily good, either. Is Fifty Cent or Rihanna really that good? I think the argument that "why aren't you doing it" is null, because, I think he's riding on his rather ingenious idea that playing very long clips, not even samples, over one another is fun and could get a lot of people to fawn over him.

  • I understand where jvalantiner is coming from but I have to agree with FHhanbanan. Every once in awhile I cruise over to Girltalk because of all the praise he gets but every time I look I just see horrible mashups.

Opinions are opinions and we really can't argue what is good, what's not good without some doubt.

When I listen to GirlTalk's "music" it feels like he completely stripped songs of their meaning and integrity and created a nostalgia box, is that a good thing? I don't know.

  • Mind naming a better mash-up artist?

  • duuuhhhh the hood internet

  • there is none.

  • hood internet? i dunno any others haha...

  • Hood Internet are the closest thing.

Otherwise DJ Dangermouse? The Grey Album was fucking amazing. Trust for it to be banned.

  • Milkman is a DJ who does really good mashups and he sounds like Girl Talk sometimes. Milkman's new album is called Circle Of Fifths; I just discovered it, kinda

  • I think he is good or fu@ken great even , there is more to a tight 'mash' than just gett'n the beat right. The juxtaposition of track selection is something not every tech. savvy ham fisted yo yo could aspire to.

Not to mention were talking 'Girl Talk'.

  • what song starts the background msuic at 1 minute?

  • Fleetwood Mac, tell me lies

  • whats that awesome song thats at 45 second mark???

    i love girltalk!

  • "White Horse"

  • Whoa holy fucks smashing pumpkins...this guy is epic

  • Epic

  • he iz a boss

  • The first 30 seconds is the only good part, to me at least. Only because of 1979.

  • meh, this whole song is awesome.

  • Agreed dude.

  • I think this one is one of his best..best mix of all genres instead of just rap...or at least good rap lol

  • this shit is sick

  • girl talks amazing, even if they make a mashup i dont like they make up for it in a few seconds

  • damn, girl talk just came to my city, and i never heard of em so i didn't go.

    now i wish i did.

    fuck.

  • laid back- white horse is in the beg.

  • I'm a fan ;)

  • yo drink gon' get drank up!

  • blah

  • the beat from 1:00 until about 1:08. Where is that from?

  • it's tell me lies by fleetwood mac...the intro to the song

  • ... it's smashing pumpkins...

  • smashing pumpkins - 1979 + three 6 mafia - stay fly=orgasm

  • these kind of songs are great if u have ADD

Girl talk thank you for giving me something i can listen to

  • haha that's so true!!!! idk if its cause of my ADD, but i can never listen to a song for more than a min.. thats why girl talk is awesome

  • haha i do that too. i'll like to listen to it for like 5 seconds then switch it. to something else to the point where i'm annoyed but can't stop

  • haha that's so true!!!! idk if its cause of my ADD, but i can never listen to a song for more than a min.. thats why girl talk is awesome

  • this dudes got something for the purp

  • LMAO i love this comment

  • love the '1979' sample in the beginning.

  • yeah its real ADD style. expacially his studio releases. pretty raw tshirt he is wearing. i made a whole bunch of Girl Talk tshirt designs. Im selling them at Noosic Store. This is in response to the fact that there are no Girl Talk tees out there! it made no sense to me. Check my vid out for more info. Peace!

  • first time I heard Girl Talk, I felt like I was staring into a strobe light! But now I love it! It is great if you have A.D.D.!
