In my opinion this is rated in the top five live performances of a lead rock-vocalist of all times. This is Layne Staley in full bloom, screamin' his guts out on stage like never before or after. It׳s simply stupefying. I can watch this over and over again and it would amaze me every time as if it was the first. Alice are at the height of their energy here playing at home for their fans. Darkly epic, rare jam, what else can one say?

@hallmitchell This is OK bro but I don't think it is as good as hair metal. Grunge bands were not known for their guitar of vocal skills. At least hair metal bands could play and put on a great show. These guys were losers, as were bands like Nirvana Pearl Jam. The best music in the arly 90's was Detroit and German techno (and some hair metal bands) Grunge sounds all the same. That's why the movement only lasted one or two years.

Think Eddie Vedder can't play either?(Have you heard about his solo's?) "Grunge" was a dumb umbrella term, created for morons to use all the time, you can't describe all the bands in Seattle back in the 90's like that, they all had their different musical styles A.I.C=Metal, Nirvana=Punk

You could argue that the scene in the 90's was "grunge", like the generation X'ers, but the music was certainly not.

And anyways, the only member of Alice N' Chains that was later in Alice IN Chains was Layne.

@ChaplainDMK I see your point, but if you look back at some of the early demos they made that are on youtube, you can see the glam rock shining through. "King of the Kats" is a good example I'm more talking about the songwriting and the technicality later on there, it's so different to Glam Rock around 1990. It's one thing to be able to cover Alice in Chains songs (which aren't that hard if I'm honest), but to come up with these melodies and lyrics in the first place is another thing.
