I never watched the show. Mainly because I close at my job at nights a lot. Also, I forget that they actually brought the show back. Can anyone tell me why they changed the car that was in the tv movie to the one that is seen in the show. I saw the tv movie and a part of one episode and preferred the one from the movie.

well if you're refering to the "Attack Mode", they changed it to make KITT look more fierce and the transformation sequence was changed to be more mechanical because too many people were complaining about the additions to the movie's attack mode being made up of just nanites.

When the New KITT changes color & goes into combat mode,it reminds me of Viper when Joe or Cole would transform Viper into defender mode.I really miss that series.& now using a refurbished C-130 to fly the New KITT around reminds me of Team Knight Rider's massive C-5 Galaxy retrofitted Skyone transport & Mobile Command Center.

First off Pontiac sucks they are not forthcoming in embracing a new Knight Rider, when David Hasslehoff started he was a no name actor as well. The theme is still there just touched up a little. Just wait for the series you will change your mind.

My question is: why? The pilot really sucked. If the series is anything like the pilot then I'm predicting that the series will be cancelled after the intial 13 episodes or so.

i liked that they made the new mobile base a c-130, it increased mobility, is more realistic spacewise ( if you put a car in a semi, youwouldnt be able to get out because youd have only a few inches of clearance on each side) however i think they should have updated the entire knight rider theme, not just bastardized the beginning (which btw has grown on me and now like it ) and thrown in whatever for the rest of the theme,

I grew up watching the orignal. I love it. But I watched the pilot of the new knight rider and I kinda liked it. It doesn't replace the original. it's not suppossed to be the same car. new model, knight 3000. the guy who teams up with kitt is Michael Kights son. so its kinda cool. It will grow on me. but the original will always be classic.
