It is just called "House M.d. Theme song" by Jon Ehrlich, and it is probably just made for this series, and therefore it is highly unlikely there exists a longer version than this 30s one. Although that would have been awesome :)

I love Massive Attack - I have Mezzanine (Teardrop is on it) but I'm sure I would have been a bit peeved if I had heard the USA opening. This is the one for the first season in AU and I always loved it. Always thought it was well written and yes there's heartbeats so it's really appropriate. I'm not a fan of using 'real' songs for opening themes of TV shows and I like that the composers of this theme made House unique in EVERY way - not simply in program content but also in themesong.

As I said earlier here, I only have series 1-3 (cause I don't like the rest so much) and oddly enough, in series 1 the intro music is what I called "Alternative Theme 1" - even on the English sound channel! I don't know if that's only on the Hungarian DVD or elsewhere, too. From the 2nd series, this is the intro of the dubbed version and the original has Teardrop, as it should. I also prefer this one by the way :)
