Oh crap and when your playing the E major I understand the inversions with it but after you start playing a chord up farther and farther up the fretboard, are you playing the inversions or the E major in its different positions? Sorry man but I'm trying to learn this stuff and I get confused easily. Thanks!
Only video on Youtube that helped me with inversions, all your videos are sick. My only questions are, can you only play the inversions on the first 4 strings? And how many different positions can you play in a key, I can only seem to find 1 in the first 12 frets. Thanks!
i understand the concept of this. But is this a crucial concept to grasp for songwriting or is it just like a memorization tool to better understand fretboard and diatonic theory and all that jazz?
playin some modern warfare 2? haha and nice vids man i just started learning theory and these have really helped out, so ill be watching as long as youre making them thanks :D
yeah ill starttt doing like a series starting from scratch, like right from the basics of everything and move into harder things as the year progresses. :)

There is such a thing as a "Third inversion" when it comes to seven chords.

inversion: the process of transposing the tones of a chord so that the original bass becomes an upper voice?
123jozef 2 years ago 2
yes, you move the f root is no longer the figured bass; instead, the 3rd, or 5th interval is in the bass.
