I know he's just venting, it's the way he says it that I love. He does sound kind of different from Midwesterners, especially Chicagoans, who have a pretty distinct accent. It's not terribly noticeable, but there are time when you here it more than others. The "ow" sound in words like "how" is where I hear it most. But it's really not a big deal.

Let's face it. USA has produced a number of outstanding hockey players. Modano, Miller, Kessel, Gionta, Jimmy Howard (Red Wing fan, I had to mention it, haha) just some that I consider to be good.. But Canada trumps us in players and Europe isn't far behind. Sawchuk, Roy, Yzerman, Toews, Pronger, Stamkos, Crosby ::gag:: .. list goes on and on. Hockey has become an ever popular sport in the U.S., but it's been a religion in Canada for like a hundred years. Yeah, I'm American.

I will say though, it's always a good game when Canada plays US in hockey. I mean, last year the Olympics in both men's and women's hockey were gold medal games, even the World Juniors was another gold medal game.

It's always exciting when these two play each other!
