I'm belgian, I saw a lot of these competions in the swiss town where I go during the summer holydays. you know these cows are naturally competitive during the procreation period, the people in these town exploit this competivity with doing official competitions. the cows are very rarely injuried cause thats not their purpose. In spain with corrida and all this shit I didnt say but in switzerland the cows are the stars, the "sportsman" so they are pampered...

And, after doing some research, I found that the cows who die (in the ring, or for other reasons outside of it) are not then used for meat. When we 'slaughter' cows, we do so for consumption. That's a natural interaction, not forcing innocent animals to fight one another.
