I had my surgery 5 weeks ago ,the locking and clicking has stopped but i am getting some pain along the finger at the knuckle is this common ,how long does it take for the original inflammation to reduce?
Work in habitat restoration and have developed slight trigger-finger in my right ring finger. Health insurance is above my pay grade at the moment, so will have to try some light exercises to help restore a full range of motion.
Thanks for the upload of this video as i am having this surgery in the very near future , its my left hand middle finger and its stopping my guitar playing very frustrating.
I had trigger thumb and a cortizone shot relieved it for the most part. It doesn't click anymore but sometimes it's still a bit stiff. Lately, when I wake up in the morning, now all of my fingers are stiff and locked, and trigger as I'm opening my hand, and it's painful. The triggering stops as I flex my hand a few times but it remains sore throughout the day. Oh, I'm an avid bowler. Please tell me what is happening.
My left pinky finger randomly locked into place today as I was working on my computer. I was like "WTF is this!!?" and pushed it back into place, now it feels really awkward and often snaps back with a popping noise. It's not painful as much as it is annoying. Hopefully it goes away on its own.
i would like to thank both Dr Troum and Alan for sharing this information. I have trigger thumb and i had trigger finger of the pinkey. it is really painful. With the pinkey I didn't need the surgery I had 2 shots and prednisone count down pills for 5 days. Now i have to go under surgery for the thumb. I was scared and very worried about this until i saw this video. I was so please to see everything worked out for Alan..Thanks again for putting me and others at ease.
If you look up Dr M.G. Brown on the Texas Medical Board website, you will find that his medical license was taken away for defrauding the public, substance abuse, and endangering the public. Check it yourself.
Why are more hand surgeons not using the Brown endoscopic method? They put in two 3 millimeter incisions and do cut all the fascia around the pulley. Fast painless recovery. Problem is, the Brown Centers are in Vegas Texas and Phoenix. What do you do in other cities if you want fast recovery?
nicely done. I like the belt loop analogy. Might also add a snippet on why not take the knot out of the belt... would cause more problems with scarring, etc.

This patient says his finger still hurt from the surgery a bit.
What about now? Is the pain still there? Sounds like it.
