is this effect predominant even when the aluminium foil u used in the form of a disc....i mean can a magnet even stop a solid aluminium disc which is rotating??i cant preform the experiment ..so plz help me...
Yes, it should. The "stopping force" would vary depending on the strength of a magnet and the relative speed of the rotating disk and the magnet. I would suggest trying a stronger magnet (maybe try making an EM to get the effect...strong permanent magnets can be expensive)
