I bought a full lace wig a few days ago, but the hair dresser a went to (to glue the wig on my head), really didnt know anything about lace wigs and cut the lace too close from the hair and now, i'm loosing them. And i'm afraid to loose all the babyhair if i ont do anything quickly. Can u pls tell me if there's any trick that can help me to maintin the hair on the wig? Pls help me...!!

  • Hi-- Eventually the hair will stop shedding, however the cap size will be smaller. You may need to sew clips on the back hairline to keep it attached.

  • Okay thank you, miss Lola! God bless you !

  • You are an inspiration to me. New hope. I was soooo down about my hair. You are FANTABULOUS. Thank you for sharing. God loves you.

  • YOU GO MS LOLA! :)

  • Will the constant gluing eventually eat away at your own hairline?

  • @brownrice0 hi not if you use Ghostbond with the citrus remover.

  • How long would just the tape last? I'm a little scared about using glue. And with just the tape can you still do daily things that cause you to perpetrate?

  • I have dreads and don't understand if the wigs are big enough to fit my head after I wrap it under the wig. Also, if I want to wear the wig for a longer time, I don't see how my real hair will get dry. Most dreads hold moisture and if not dried properly it can cause mildew or fungus that affects the health of one's scalp. So, I guess I would have to only wear the wig once a week in between washing and drying my real hair providing I can find a lace wig bit enough to fit my head w/dreads?

  • This video was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO helpful because i had no idea how to put one on

  • I love this! I did not know there is a wig I could adhere and keep on while swimming. I have been trying to grow out my hair while wearing a wig especially in the harsh winter months. Thank you so much Lola. Has anyone ever told you that you could pass for Phylisa Rahaad sister when your hair and makeup has all been done? it's true. At least to me anyway. What is your website. I would like buy the wig and tape after I trim my nap. I assume I should not tape onto of hair, right? it will pull it.

  • lmfao thru love making exercising thru swimming

  • i love this...so help full...thank u

  • @koulaiyed ahahaha yeah! nothing better than love making with a wig on!

  • I love how your full lace wig looks up it looks like its your hair ... i watched other ppls videos and i hate how the wig looks ... like a wig when they put it up in a ponytail i like that yours look natural ... is it because of the texture of the hair ..?

  • Can you wash the wig when its glued on your head? and how often do you wash it?

  • thank you very helpful but were do you get the super tape.

  • Hello-- The Super Tapes are sold at our online store on the Adhesives page.

  • This is a GREAT video and you are gorgeous! :)

  • Hi Ms Lola,

I have a problem with my scalp and so shaved off my hair. I want to wear a lace wig, but how do you wash the hair that grows out of your scalp? let me know what I should do. I love your video btw, it's life saving for women

  • Hi-- It's best to remove the wig to shampoo unless it is bonded on very securely. If you do shampoo the wig on your head, gently message the lather into your scalp and then rinse thoroughly under the shower head until the water runs clear, conditioner and then let the wig dry naturally.

  • I love it :)

  • lawd she even threw det love-making in there

  • luv u

  • U r so pretty, u look like Phylicia Rashad!

  • wow you are amazing i've learned a lot watching your videos. Stay sweet and beautiful and happy 50th birthday

  • Beautiful smart lady. I love your videos. Keep doing what you're doing! God bless!

  • You can also let your hair air dry. Make sure to use an extra hold setting lotion to wrap your hair.

  • Hi-- Your hair needs to be relaxed first. While it is wet, you will comb it around your hair like a bowl and then sit under a hood dryer until it is dry.

  • God you are my inspiration, Ms Lola, where can I purchase this super tape.

  • God you are my inspiration

  • Miss lola you really resemble philicia rashard:) great vid btw, I have two questions, 1. About washing the unit while on the head & 2. About keeping the unit bonded with either the liquid adhesive, or super tape during very humid weather? Could you please enlighten me on how that works, I'am thinkng about purchasing my very first unit, thanks & have a great day:)

  • Hello,

I have a boyfriend and I don't want him to feel any bumps if he touches my hair, what method do you recommend to avoid bumps with your real hair underneath ?

  • Hey Miss Lola

    We love you in England

I am in the uk and white skinned. I am just about to do my first full lace! could you please advise me which selection is more durable? swiss or french lace? secondly, which is the best density of wig?

    Love from England Sweetie! xxx

  • Hello-- I love England, too!

French lace is definitely more durable than Swiss, however it is not nearly as sheer. I recommend either German French or Resilient Swiss Lace for sheerness and durability. Also, you will select the density closest to the density of your original thickness of hair. Please see the density chart at my website to make the decision that's right for you. Thanks for watching my videos!

    --Ms Lola

  • Ms Lola,

I am very new to the idea of a full lace wig and am excited and nervous to purchase one. My question is about the cream adhesive and the length (3-4 week) of time you can leave it on. Is it the same for Caucasians? Like I said I am very new to lace wigs and want to buy one very soon. I just want to make sure it is a wise investment. Thank you so much, full lace has finally given me hope for the hair I have always dreamed of!

  • Hello-- Ethnicity does not affect the the bonding time of my adhesive cream. Body chemistry can inflluence how long the bond will last. Since you're new to lace wig applications, the only way to know for sure is by trying Ms Lola's Adhesive Cream with your lace wig.

  • Hi can this glue stand stand hot weather in african?

  • you have given me the confidence to apply my own lace wig thx u

  • Hey Ms. Lola, I am so scared to get a lace front wig because I don't want my edges to come out. What do I need to do so that when or If I get a lace front the procedures to do so my edges won't come out? Thanks and you look amazing to be 50.

  • Hello-- Try my new glueless wigs to preserve your edges. They will be available on February 10, 2011. You can wear them with or without adhesives.

  • Hi, u r so pretty. Thanks 4 this vid. I recently ordered my 1st full lace wig 4rm a wig store in China. I was thinking about sending it back, bcuz I can't wear it. But, I researched how 2 apply the wig, and thank God I came across ur vid! It is very helpful! I liv n Ft. Knox, K.Y. , & the beauty stores here don't sell "super tape", they sell barber tape @ Sally's. Itz double sided, but it won't stick to my head. Is this kind ok 2 use w/ the no tape? Also, is it ok 2 wrap ur hair n a wig cap? TY!

  • Hello-- It is really best to use a professional adhesive tape rather than the barber tape because it still will not stick well even when used with No Tape. Yes, it is okay to wrap your hair with a wig cap. You're welcome!

  • You look so good! you are an inspiration to everyone! <3

  • Thank you ! I really appreciate you!

  • @pamdooklah

    Ms. Lola,

Looks wonderful!!! And thanks for sharing your knowledge about applying units. Much thanks!

  • Ms Lola you are a beast wit it

  • just beautiful

  • Thank you so much Ms Lola is video was very helpful to me. I will be going to your website to purchase the Cream Adhesive but am not sure if I want to use it or just the tape. I appreciate your saying that it will last thru sweat & prespiration, I needed to hear that.

  • Hello Ms Lola, now what suggestion would you give me for purchasing the best lace adhesive glue for a longer stay and when you aplly the full lace wigs do you leave all the lace on or do you cut most of it off?

  • Hello-- I recommend either Ms Lola's Adhesive Cream or Ms Lola's Liquid Adhesive Cream used together with No Tape Liquid Adhesive or Super Tape adhesive tapes for the longest bond possible. Also, you should cut the lace close to the hairline of the wig, but not past it.

  • Hello, may I please know what u wrapped ur hair with after u shampooed it?

  • Hi-- I used Ms Lola's Styling Foam Lotion, sold at my Online Store.

  • You are my hero!!

  • You are too kind. Thank you!!

  • You are my hero!!

  • wow! it really does look rly simple! is it okay to wash it? would the water make it come off? and about the lace wigs, can u use curlin irons and straightners without ruinin it? thnx...

  • omg ur 50.. u dont look it all..

  • My God you look good to be in your 50s keep up the good work.

  • you look lovely!!

  • That was very informative. I feel confident that I wont have to give up exercise or swimming if I get a wig.

  • Love making...YES! That's very real, thank you for saying that!

  • Would it be too much to put the no tape and super tape like you did in the back, onto the front as well?

  • Hi-- You can use both products for the front as well

  • @4Designers Hi miss lola...thanks for the tip. Is this technique similar to the band aid tape technique? I have lots of bb hair which I do not want to shave. Which of both technique will you say is best for me? thanks

  • Hi-- The technique used in this video is not designed for someone with lots of baby hair. The band-aid method will probably work best for you.

  • ms. lola---- thank u so much!!! i luv the video thank u....luv u

  • ok thanks

  • im sorry u probably answered this but i dont see it . . .where did u get that tape

  • Hi-- The tape is called Super Tape and it is sold at my Online Store. Please go to my website where you will see the link for my Online Store on every page. The address for my website is given at the end of this video.

  • YOU BETTER WORK MS.LOLA! I WATCHED THIS VIDEO AND I JUST LOVE YOU ALREADY I HOPE IM JUST LIKE YOU AT YOUR AGE

  • hi Ms. Lola, do you cut the lace of your wigs all the way back to the hairline or do you leave a lil for application?

thanks! love ur vids! god bless (:

  • Hello-- Your hairline determines how far to cut back the lace. If you have hair loss or a high forehead, you can cut the lace all the way back to the hairline of the wig. If you have a normal hairline you will leave more lace for the bonding area.

  • oh mai gawd your fifty!!! all this time ive been thinking your like 32 or something wow that nice u look good for your age

  • I dont understand how you shampoo your own hair with the fake hair on your head for 6 weeks!!!!!!

  • thank you the great informative video. *applause*

  • hi if i use the super tape only without the glue how long could it stay for

  • Hi-- Super Tapes can bond up to 30 days depending on individual body chemistry.

  • towards the end look like a brown skinned clare huxtable :p very pretty wig and eyes.

  • Wow! This tutorial has been so helpful! Thank you so much for your knowledge and sharing them with all of us - much appreciated!!

  • 50?!?!?!

you dont look a day over 30

  • Hi-- Glues and tapes should never be used directly on the hair, but rather on the skin. If you have a lot of hair in the bonding area you should use another attachment method such as band-aids or clips.

  • TheJuice4UToo,com

For discounted hair and styling products, makeup, and jewelry. SHIPPING IS ALWAYS FREE. Layaway available for lace wigs.

  • It does not matter whether you are using the wig for theatre, film or daily use. The lace front wig as it is today was invented for films and theatre, and this is still how they are made and should be worn. Patients with hair loss have unique concerns, though I still wouldnt reccomend leaving the wig on for weeks.

  • Wigs by nature are meant to come off at night. This is what they were invented for. If you want something that lasts that long, try extensions. The wig should simply be put on and pinned in place daily, and taken off at night.Make sure to only use small hairpins(U-shaped pins) through the lace, anything bigger will poke holes. You can also use spirit gum or toupee tape, but this can irritate the skin with prolonged use.The tape in this video is ok also to use for daily wear.Let ur scalp breathe...

  • AI LUH YO VOICE

  • Great i feel confident now about putting mine in

  • love this tutorial and you do not look 50 at all!!!

  • I am a professional wigmaker and designer for theatre and film, for which lace front wigs were invented in the first place.I must say this trend of trying to glue or tape a wig on for long periods of time is not what a wig is meant for,is bad for the wig and your scalp.Your scalp should breathe.A wig can be destroyed washing and styling it this way.Wigs are supposed to come off at night, otherwise get a weave or extensions. This is NOT the way stars or industry people like tyra banks etc wear wigs

  • I have been a hair replacement specialist for 30 years, and have designed and applied numberous hair additions for women, men, and children from all walks of life. Over the years, lace wigs and hair units have been adapted to accommodate individual needs of average, everyday people, and not just celebrities.

  • @4Designers speak on it!!!!!!!!! i'm glad i didn't have to say anything myself, i was just thinking about what year it is and how far they have come with the designs of wigs and lace wigs in general especially for people who have hair loss issues or have cancer and are going through treatment.

  • @afboyfw what would you suggest then

  • Comment removed

  • Imma need the hook up so I can get your product.

  • You look amazing!

  • OMG! YOU DON'T LOOK 50!.. You have a natural beauty. Thanks for the tutorial. I have been bonding tracks to my hair for a long time and i am tired of it so this helps. I am going to purchase my first full lace wig.. Wish me luck!.. :)

  • Thank U MISS LOLA

  • Love Ms. Lola's tips, not her products 100% they don't hold as good or long as no tape.

  • You made a very useful video, but what I like most from my viewing is your speech!

You speak very clearly, which makes understanding easier, especially if English isn't one's mother tongue. So, thank you very much!!

  • where can I get yiur products

  • My products are available at my website and Online Store. Please get the web address at the end of the video.

  • Very well explained video...Lovin the hair

  • is this a straight wwig or body wave. I want this hair. how i purchase it. exactly this one

  • Hi-- The wig is Indian Remy Yaki

  • @4Designers thank you. is the style straight or body wave

  • Neither. The wig is Indian Remy Yaki

  • is this a straight wwig or body wave

  • my hair line isn't exactly straight. how do you work around a widow's peak??

  • Hi-- It is best that you supply a template of your hairline so that the wig can be made like your hairline.

  • you look soo beautiful!! im glad im learning something!

  • isn't that bad for your hair though, cause your hair cant breathe for six weeks

  • Hi-- You would only keep a wig bonded for 4 to 6 weeks if you have little or no hair underneath and in that case, would shampoo the wig on your head.

  • At age 28, I have just been diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. Naturally I was concerned about the hair loss but was ispired by April AKA muffinismylovers, to try front lace wigs, and further to get your cream.

In this video, you apply super tape to the front and a combo of no tape and super tape to the nape. Is your adhesive cream an acceptable replacement of the no tape? I'm confused as to why you used no tape instead of your own adhesive cream. Love the vids. You've been a great help.

  • Hi-- My cream alone is not sufficient for a bond that will last up to 6 weeks. You will need to use a combination of products to get the best hold, be it my products or others. Take care and God Bless!

  • @4Designers which combination is strong?

  • Hi-- Ms Lola's Adhesive Cream and Super Tapes are my favorite. No Tape also works well. You will choose your preference.

  • @4Designers ok thank you very much!
