I am looking to get my first longboard but dont know what would be the best choice. Thinking about getting thae Apex 37 or Whatever You Think. I live in Charlotte, NC its pretty flat but has some pretty big hills. Im about 5'4-'5 and about 115 lbs

just curious, what kept mike and scott from losing control and slilding out on those hills? they look pretty steep but they seem very able to thrash and carve on it without picking up dangerous speeds.

Good question! That would have to do with the tight carving capabilities of the trucks that allow you to carve off and control your speed even on steep descents.

@Originalskateboards gotcha. i own a torpedo 40 (s8 82a seismic hotspots) and derringer 28 (s6 81a 70s flasback) and im workin on steep parking lot hills but im sliding out a lot without control. maybe ive broken in my wheels a bit. what type of wheels scott and mike use? they dont seem to slide out at all.

Hey Hazz,

reisgh has a point, your wavecams may be broken, but you more likely need to grease up the cams. Apply "white lithium grease" (the kind in a tube, not the spray) to the wave cams and you should be good to go!

Dude, that is awesome. I totally worked there at that camp. Sux bout the girls not being there, but there really are a ton of hot foreign girls that work there in the summer. Weekends tho they all leave for their days off and head to no-town for the night.
