I remember the first time I heard this song it was a little shock to hear the spooky yet soothing music quickly transition into something heavier. At first I hated this song and would only listen to the beginning. Then over time I learned to appreciate both halves of the song, treating them like two different songs. However I think if I had heard this song without the opening 2 minutes the first time around I would have liked the second half right away. But I'm sure they had their reasons.
I used to stay up late at night listening to WRHU Post Punk Pty with DJ Jeff back in the 80ties and record amazing non-pop muzic on cassette tapes to take back to New Paltz. great times
Yep....epic is the word.......i remember first hearing this in the record store......liked the name of the band, and got them to put it on to listen to. The intro sucked me in and have loved it ever since as well as (almost) everything else they ever did.
When Kraftwerk clash with David Bowie, one can feel that 80s vibe. My love song
