This show had so many great references of popular culture, and its fun to look back now and understand the ones you missed, like I didn't know it was Elm St aft first, never seeing those movies
Freddy is supposed to be afraid of fire, so why would he light a match?? Haha I never had any nightmares from horror movies except when I was little like when I watched Jeepers Creepers 2
@Bellefille62394 Freddy's not afraid of fire. He was killed by fire, yes, but he uses it as his element. He might be afraid of it in the real world, but no more than anyone would be.
Eddy Cougar says a line in Nightmare 4 when Kirsten congers up Alice in the nightmare and Alice finally meets Freddy. "How sweet Fresh Meat." Plus the jason Kill her Ma is playing. How sweet of them to acknowledge thee horror guys.
As a director/producer of Tiny Toons and Animanics I really appreciate this. thanks! The only thing bugging me is that the writing and directing credits have been removed from the title card, but thankfully they are on the DVD version.
Well Freddy is a ghost so all you need to do to get rid of him is call the Ghostbusters. Funny as that sounds, thats the main reason I was never afriad of Freddy either.
Out of the many episodes Glen Kennedy animated, I think this one was the best, almost on par with the other animation studios. And somehow, I enjoyed the eye gags.
I agree! Well actually, Glen Kennedy didn't animate much in this segment (Jon McClenahan did), but did you see the "One Minute to Three" segment? That's possibly some of Glen Kennedy's best animation for the Tiny Toons!
Good ol' Eddie Cougar, ha ha. In my opinion, that was a point-on accurate portrayal of Freddy Krueger, including the 'how sweet, fresh meat' line. I can't believe no one mentioned the 'ki ki ki, ma ma ma' noises from the 'Friday the 13th' series while the deer was drinking water, though.
Can you tell mw hoe they modified Eddie's voice just like that did for Freddy? I noticed that when Freddy or Eddie talk, they have the demonic sound in their vocal chords. What are the producers using to make them do that?
I would think that they probably used a pitch shifter to make Freddy's voice deeper and more demonic. I'm not sure what kind of technology they used back in the day, but I'm fairly certain that producers today probably use something like Adobe Audition for this process. The scene I've included clearly shows there is a recognizable difference in Robert Englund's voice compared to what is found in the final cut of the film. Hope this helps, blueplague888.
Hey, do you think they could've made a cartoon series using that Eddie Cougar character? I thought that was a pretty slick idea to create a parody of Freddy Krueger.
Buster: "I'm gonna invite Plucky over for a sleep over, and then not do anything with him. Then I'm gonna get pissed when he wants to spend time with me while I'm trying to sleep"
Seriously, I would have gotten yelled at for just leaving my friend in the other room watching TV. I thought the guest was supposed to pick the activities.
Does anyone remember that one episode where this psycho British lady killed Buster by sucking out his soul with a machine? Well, that's what i remember from it. I recall having serious nightmares about it.
I remember that and it wasn't his soul, it was his "inner comedy" and she was a censorship woman who thought cartoons weren't supposed to be funny. She did the same thing to everyone but Babs... oh and when it happened to Gogo Dodo he acted like the melting wicked witch of the west.
who am I? just a guy who is writing a One Piece/ Looney Tunes fanfic who is looking for casting ideas for the Tiny Toon characters... I already did some Histeria! ones.
You welcome, That deer reminds me of bambi, doesn't it? and yeah the scream sounds a sheep screamin'. It's a funny-ass scream lol and I like how Eddy Cougar does his sinister laugh.
Plucky was lying he knew he was scared, buster gave him that warning not to be watching scary movies because it will give him nightmares so what happens it all comes true.
