I'm pretty surprised this won. I'm sure he's a cool person, but this playing really lacks the refined sound I've come to expect from the guys who typically win the store finals. Not that I'm God's gift to drumming, because I'm definitely not. And I'll bet this kid would be great if he got hooked up with the right teacher.

I agree. Not very win worthy. Too much attitude and not enough soul, groove, consistency, and the rudiments were somewhat sloppy. He's obviously has had no formal training.

Way too loud and random. A few decent rudiments here and there but not win worthy at all. His competition at store level must have really sucked.
