I was a farm girl (albeit one who knew her music) on a missionary internship between freshman and sophomore years in collage. 1987. At a camp in Wales, some young man from Oregon had brought his Doppelganger CS over. After one listen, my life, career path, and spiritual ideology was forever altered. I've met TST a couple times, and I am not at all sure that he comprehends that part he has played in the lives of so many souls. SO grateful.
DA are in fact the Christian Beatles. They were one of the few really cutting edge Cristian musicians both musically and lyrically. I have every one of their CD's and they run the spectrum of musical genre, from straightforward rock 'n roll to backwoods hillbilly country; from serious ballads to hideously funny lyrical chaos. The phrase genius is overused but in this case it's an understatement. Thank you TST, DA, Eddies, Lost Dogs and Gene Eugene (you are sorely missed).
DA is awesome -- one of maybe two or three bands from my high school days that I still listen to. Mr. Buechner's Dream is maybe their best album, but the whole Alarma Chronicle series is still inspiring.
I don't get it...is this a "video" or an "audio?" Sure I like DA and of course Mr. Terry Scott Taylor, but why not just put this up on some audio sharing site, because that's all it is: AUDIO!
this song is awesome because of its referring to a huge trend in christianity in the 80's the testimony. its ironic because only the nostalgic remember daniel amos. but i think the real enemy of this song is christian pretention based on people who made careers on being huge sinners who were saved, like the guy who wrote the cross and the switchblade which was turned into a movie starring eric estrada, from chips.

This particular DA album used to sound so creepy when I was younger. Of course I loved (and still do) every bit of it!!!
