  • The circle into the star was awesome.

  • thank you for posting this. I was a student of Dr. Ferguson's I am proud to say. I Just loved music and to perform and he encouraged that. He took the MDB, which was good and made it great and doesn't get the credit that he should. Plus, Kathryn Scott was his protege. The Wall of Sound. A Ferguson phenomenon. Thank you. Wish there was a video of him directing! His hair kept time to the music!

  • I loved it esp. the Roll Tide in both directions. RTR! LOL! No one band came up with certain moves its a conjoined program Duh!! If you knew anything about marching bands then you would know this. Ok so u say Tn's bands better I say you are smoking crack, as well as question u on how many championships do they have?!?!? I Believe as of right now our count is 13 and probably 14 this year. RTR!

  • I loved it esp. the Roll Tide in both directions. RTR!

  • I love 1970's marching techniques. Definitely better than the modern style, in my opinion.

  • yeah the pride is better. I love how bama thought they could imitate it

  • i love this! its so cute! i wish there was more footage of the MDB back in the day! lol :)

  • OMG

  • I love this video...if you like circle drills take a look at the Tennessee Pride of the Soutland Band Circle Drill

  • I don't think I ever saw tape of these shows when I marched. This was neat.

  • I love how you have no clue what you are talking about.

  • I beg to differ.

  • Dr. James Ferguson, the director of the MDB that year, created what is called the 8-count circle drill move. It is where you are in a circle and in eight counts you can be in another circle drill design. So yes, they "can" do circle drill.

  • Agreed. They "can" do it.

  • that would suck having to move every 8 counts to a new drill spot... :P but if it wasnt for colorguard and band i wouldnt be in a great program :D

  • wow. that was crazy sick!

and BTW, now i know why they went into the year 1976. can you spell AUDIO QUALITY?!

  • they were better back then....

  • Love the Roll Tide spell out :)

  • Wow, love the old film. Got anything from the 1973 or 1974 seasons? That's when I was in the band. It was back before videotape so I never saw the band when we marched.

  • wow.....marching bands have come a long way....I still love it though...ROLL TIDE!!

  • Ok the title of the video is Million Dollar Band- Show from 1975!!!!!!!!! duh they're not still in the band!

  • WOW that is so awsome. are you in this band? Im only in a high school band, i play the french horn.
