This footage is incredible. Everyone please share up more of this kinda stuff. There used to be more of these amatuer Fishbone/No Doubt/Sublime/etc vids posted a year or so ago but youtube yanked 'em grrrr. KEEP IT ALIVE!
My man, I love you for posting this!!! I was in the audience that day!!! I still have my pics!! I was actually right around where you were filming! They were in C'Dale for Halloween 1984!!! It was my 1st time seeing them & I've been hooked ever since!!!
Remember Angelo surfed all the back to Moris' statue & was in the DE that monday!! Classic!!!
It's incredible seeing this again almost 20 years later. Like the person below, this show is one of my favorite memories of Carbondale (and it was the second time I saw Fishbone in Carbondale, they also played Halloween a few years earlier). They ended the set with a killer version of Runnin with the Devil.
I was trippin' my ass off at this show. It's one of my fondest memories of Carbondale. (I still live in C'dale) I can't believe you have this footage !! This was the last great Springfest - it's legendary in this town. Thank you so much for posting this !!
I tripped over a trashcan at the Copper Dragon... AAHHHGGG!! I was there too Pukiezeta, sneaking some underage drinks. This was when CDale didn't suck!
Fishbone is definitely one of those rare bands that needs to be experienced live. I was lucky enough to be part of of their live shows in Hawaii when I was a teenager and it was definitely a euphoric, religious, and therapeutic experience. I wish that all of the original members (dammit, especially Chris Dowd aka The Seedy Arkhestra) would one day get together again and show the world just how it is to jam, kick ass, take names, and make a life-changing difference.
i was told by tori ruffin(ex-fishbone soldier) that they have been jammin with original members again for some future gigs!..he talks to them alot still!...
Sheet...I saw them in Vegas in the early 80's with the Beastie Boys (pre-Run DMC/Rick Rubin)....talk about a great show. Beastie Boys doing really white rap and punk, and Fishbone doing their thing....kinda wished we had the forethought to record stuff back then, but it wasn't easy to do like now.
"Question of Life", "Give it up", "Hide behind my glasses"... These are such great songs !
Fish on drums is really leading the audience and the band far far into some supra-natural Musical spheres...Listen how fast he makes the band switch from one song to the other and yet how tight the whole sound remains.... UN-BE-LIE-VA-BLE !
Really looking forward the original line-up reunion...We only live once, some say...

Anyone else catch the trombone throw at 5:13? This might be my favorite Fishbone video. Pretty incredible band.
