  • They'd love my music !!! lol

  • Why, why on earth did he join in this? He`s an intelligent guy and knows about music. Why did he sit in such shows and struggled to keep his pokerface at silly so-called songs and people who seem to have too much leisure time - even good propaganda can`t be worth it!

  • @Londonrainwaters Maybe Jill Ireland talked him into it!

  • @slaphead6000 Would figure.

  • Look at David`s pointedly unmoved face...I believe I can guess what he`s thinking about all this....

  • And David is still handsome. I don't remember this program at all. I forgot about him being in, "The Great Escape." That second song is horrible! I don't remember that either. Interesting to see but I don't get the purpose of the show. It's boring. So, they were trying to think like the audience? I don't get it and "Poetry in Motion" was a big hit. I do remember that. lol

  • @Songsmirth I think we were more easily pleased back then! JBJ was popular in its day - but was just four celebs (the BEATLES, one week!) listening to the first 30 seconds of a new release and deciding whether they thought it would chart. The only excitement was when an artist did a walk-on, AFTER the panel had judged their record!

They tried to bring it BACK in the late Seventies and again in the late Eighties - but it tanked, both times.

It originated from America - first on radio, then TV.

  • @slaphead6000 Yes, you're right, we were. Tv really wasn't that old. I remember us getting a color tv and how exciting it was. And the tv screens were so small! And tv's clunky. I was the "antena." My job to get the antena into the right position or the screen would role. Antenas on the roofs of every house. Some nights were easier to get in some channels. :) We were easily impressed as well. Just appreciated what was on. Time and place means a lot. Thanks for reminding me Slap.

  • Great piece of footage. I watched this as I'm partial to David McCallum - he often reminds me of a little boy and I just want to look after him! Thanks for uploading!
