there is no price because it has never gone in to production, what you can buy is a c8 spyder or laviolette, an aileron spyder or laviolette or a c8 double 12. In the next coming months a SUV, the D8, will also become available

The science is there, but the engine and build for McF1 and Bugatti are both properties of Mc and Bugatti respectively, so Spyker would have to pay an enormous price to get that technology, and then more money to tweak it so it's not just the same car.

Its such a myth that Bugatti will make a loss on their Veyron. Sure if you count in every manhour that went into research over the 5 years or so, they may not make a lot of cash from selling the first series of cars. But what they have done is to establish Bugatti as THE ultimate rich persons accessory with only 1 car made. Other companys spend 30 years building that kinda reputation. They are already showing their new cars and special edition Veyrons which will make them loads of cash.

Ford made a profit by laying off tens of thousands of loss making work force. They didnt get government help because they took out a 22 billion dollar loan just beforet he shit hit the fan. Last I checked they were offering their own stocks as payment after heavy negotiations. They are under bankruptcy protection just like the other two. Ford sold reasonable, good cars in Europe which further saves their arses. As for "smoking" a Veyron.. good luck with that.

veyron is 10.8 stock.. 9 sec stangs are all over the place with 10k worth of parts. All that shit you said still doesn't change the fact that ford made a profit. If you want people to think you got $, obviously the veyron or spyker is the way to go. There are hundreds of street legal cars in my area that will smoke a veyron any day of the week. What's next? 6 turbo car for 10 million? 100k into a supra and you'll have a 8 second car easily that will destroy all.

Sure you can tune a Bugatti. Anything can be faster. STOCK they run at 15-18 psi. Problem is they are aluminum block anyways and probably near their limit. Upgrade the 4 STOCK shitty turbos and run 25psi and a return line with a regulator and reflash the fuel curves. Upgrade the 2 STOCK shitty intercoolers. 4 BOVS and bigger wastegates, custom down pipes. open exhaust.

Yeah.. in USA they will put new Euro sportscars in tuneshop to have "rims" and twin turbos fitted. The people at the factory spend years testing and setting up their cars exactly how they want them using professional people. And along comes some american tuneshop thinking they can do better? As if twin turbos on a Lambo is actually an improvement. Anything you do to a Lambo, Bugatti or whatever will ONLY upset the finely tuned balance and make it a straight liner. Stick to your american steel.

If a Lambo isnt special enough on its own then do what I did. Travel to the factory and have a test ride on the famous Balboni highway outside St Agatha Bolognese. See for yourself how they hand build the cars. Get a feel for the craftsmanship and the art and you would understand how it differs from a god damn mustang and american tuneshops.

I realise you made this statement long ago but its a myth that Bugatti is in the business to lose money. If you count in the 5 years or so of manpower, building the factory and producing the initial 300 Veyrons, the werent expecting to make money on their first car.. but hey. Thats normal. They established themselves as the nr 1 luxury brand on the world with their first car. Thats marketing genius. They are a huge sucess and are already showing their next cars where they will make tons of cash.

Ofcourse... they built a fucking factory didnt they. You dont make that back from 300 cars. Nobody does. This is how you start a company and build a brand name. Text book success story. I dont see why people make it into something weird.. Traditionally all american performance cars have been sold with a loss. But they still build them to shine some light on their other cars. Like this new SSC crap. They build 1-2 quick cars and want to sell the rest on the hype alone. Euro cars never did this.

En als ik Shell had genomen, toepasselijk met de benzine, vind ik toch dat ik een beetje aan het pronken ben met iets wat niet eens helemaal van ons is. Maar daar heb jij schijnbaar geen problemen mee. Ik vind het ook raar dat je me aanvalt op grond hiervan. Natuurlijk ben ik trots op de Gouden Eeuw, Philips, Fokker(Ik ben zelf piloot en vlieg Fokker, dus praat me er niet van) Unilever en Shell(wat trouwens half Brits is, dus vanwaar de problemen met mijn Engelse taalgebruik, als je dit bedrijf zelf noemt?). Maar ik ben een grote autofan en kan niet zeggen dat ik minder trots ben op Spyker. Daarnaast denk ik dat mensen het leuker vinden om Nederland te associeren met Heineken, dan met een voedingsmiddelenconcern.

Jij haalt Nederland juist naar beneden en dat nogwel in het Engels. Jij doet het net voorkomen of Nederland niets anders heeft dan Heineken om trots op te zijn. Om de nationale trots op te hangen aan enkel en alleen een biertje is pure armoede in mijn optiek, en doe je Nederland bovendien mee te kort. Als je zo trots bent op Nederland doe je er verstandig aan eerst twee keer na te denken voordat je een comment plaatst. Nederland heeft veel meer, dat is het enigste wat ik probeerde te zeggen.
