In honor of those troops who have brought this to the world's attention, I have put together a blog titled: "US Troops Protect Afghan Opium Fields - by Bill Woollam" Just Google that.
Why do we allow the US Administration to profit off of Afghan opium fields?
The US troops are telling us that they are commanded to protect the Afghan opium fields, which inevitably will go on the market for 19 million dollars a barrel.
It was 3.5% in 2000,now it`s 90%.Duh,I wonder if that is the reason for the" War"? " Was it "Operation Opium Restoration"? The "Taliban"had eradicated opium production,now it has been restored.And they have the nerve to blame the "Taliban"! SUCKERS!!!!!!!
anyone know what aerial eradication is? it's dumping poison on crops that farmers grow in order to feed their families and communities. FYI, opium poppy is also used in many pharmaceutical grade medicines (Morphine, Codeine and many others are derived from opium poppy too). the WAR on drugs has nothing to do with the ills of society, it's about profit and controlling the market and friends, the black market is highly profitable for both the cartels and governments.
Less than 10% of the profits from the Heroin trade goes to Afghanis. 90% goes to the West, and currently the CIA are in charge of the trade - carrying out on US military planes.
The Taliban had virtually eliminated poppy growing - the opium crop has increase 40 times since the US invaded. It was one of the major reasons for the invasion - understand ?
That`s how CIA funds its black ops - Iran-Contras=guns for cocaine remember ?

There was 30% of heroin comes from afghan when Taliban rolls,now there r 70% of heroin comes from Afghanistan under occupation ..and more interesting smuggling is down then before because of bombing and checkpoint....something is wrong.

Yep, he's spot on.. The Mujahadeen of the past had funding directly from the West, now it comes from thier own heroin trade, this needs to be eradicated and harsher measures taken generally. It is very suspect why this has not been done before - the military and political power in America is not stupid, they know what they are doing (or not doing).
Mike Ruppert was an LAPD officer who blow the whistle on CIA drug dealing in the 70's or 80's. He claims that it is of major importance to the United States economy to have drug cash rolling in. Apparently the brother of the Afghan President has been on the CIA bankroll for 8 years. The Taliban burned most opium crops and since they have been pushed out of the country the farmers can now go back to business. US is only there to protect oil and drugs. As well as big defense contracts.

@andy7666 Not only are they aware of what's going they say it's 'part of the Afghan culture' that they have to protect. The marines are guarding the poppy fields.
